Hello all and welcome to my first official post. Unless you want to count my earlier one where I was just stopping by and saying hi.

 

I've never really been that big of a fan of zombie related movies before. Don't get me wrong they can be very enjoyable, however they have always left me feeling unsatisfied. That is until a friend introduced me to the TV series The Walking Dead. I believe this is the correct way to tell zombie stories because you get a better chance to get to know the different characters and you can start to feel how it might be like living in their world. As a side note, I know there are a lot of different kind of zombie related games. Unfortunately I don't really have any experience in them which may be why I haven't enjoyed any related movies before.

 

So I thought I would start a thread where we could talk about this show. If you have seen the show feel free to talk about what you enjoy, who your favorite characters are, or anything else you might want to share. For those of you who haven't seen the show just as a warning there may be spoilers in the discussion.

For me I would have to say my favorite character would be Rick or Glenn. Glenn is someone who I think I would relate to the most in the series and Rick because he has been through a whole lot. Imagine waking up like he did in the hospital with no clue as to what the heck is going on. Kinda scary!

As for a character I don't like all that much it would have to be Carl. I saw a meme that is rather funny but due to language on it I don't think I can share it...It looks like in season 3 Carl does get better though.

I love the show! I've never bothered with the comics. The new season looks like it will be good, I enjoyed the taking of the prison last week.

i'm interested in reading the comics. i have been looking online but can't seem to find a place.

I'm sitting here waiting for the second episode to come out.. Haven't read the comics and won't for the sake of spoiling the series (though I've already read some spoilers.. cuz I have no will power).

I rarely watch tv but I have heard a lot of good things about this show. Normally I wouldn´t choose to watch zombies but I might check it out later on. I have just watched the first season of GoT. Do you know many have been released? Waiting for the second to be released on DVD.

I have not seen GoT but I plan on checking that out someday. Are you asking how many seasons of Walking dead there are? If so there is 2 out on DVD and the third just started and just showed the second episode last night.

Don't you mean, done to undeath?

That too. They did it to death and then revived it.

i actually think the show is better than movies or games. You get to know the characters better and get more a feel for the world they are in.
