Great! You're thankful... Now what are you doing about it?

Featured Replies

It's great to be thankful for something. It's even better to voice that thankfulness in public places.

But what are you doing about it? This year, with all the tragedy around us these days, I want to challenge you to do something about the things you're thankful for.

"What in the heck are you talking about, Lor? Did your meds fry your brain?" you might ask.

Um, no. I just want to start a tradition, among those of us here at the Kin, to do more than just be thankful. Tell the people you're thankful for that you're thankful for them. Do a little something to make their lives easier to show it. Have a teacher that made a difference in your life? Have you told them that?

Take a moment and go through with the next step. Make someone's day by telling them, not only that you're thankful for them, but why. See what a difference it makes in YOUR life.

So, who did you thank today and how wonderful did it make you feel?

I've done it a little differently. I believe each one of us has in us a spark of the divine. So, about 2 weeks ago, I decided that I would look at people and see the "divine spark" rather than use a critical eye. I has been wonderful for me! My outlook is much more positive.

Interesting! What kinds of things do you look for, then?

I look at people softly, imagining the spark of God in them and wondering how they express that in a positive manner. I enjoy their smiles and imagine the light within.

That's a very positive energy to draw through people! No wonder you feel better! :)
