Well I'm heading down to Santa Barbara for New Years on the 29th. Unless I get really lucky beforehand(doubtful) I'll grab it around the 3rd or 4th. At that point we'll see how I do over the weekend. Will certainly share thoughts and if any spoiler threads have popped up already will dive in.

Hey Sutt (and anyone else getting an early copy) I'd really like a non spoiler review by pm if you write one. I understand if you don't want to put it on a public thread until the 8th, if you send a pm to someone on here then please add me to your list. Same with anyone really since everyone here will understand what you can say without giving anything away!

 

Meanwhile I'll be avoiding things like reddit until after I've got my own copy!

Leigh butlers review was lame and completely incomprehensible. Why do people even try to guess at that stuff? Choke up moment 4? Ohh that must be where perrin/lan/rand dies. I want a spoiler full review not the mad ravings of a lunatic.

So you would rather have the book spoiled rather than find out for yourself?

 

Plus, it seems likely the Leigh will put up a spoiler review on the day the book is released, like she did for ToM and (I think) tGS as well.

One thing I will say is that it didn't feel like a review at all, spoilers or not. The hints were fun to guess at, but this wasn't a very good non-spoiler review, either.

She said what she thought of it. That through the good and the less-good and the just-plain-bad, the book was tremendously gratifying. Hope she's right (I don't know what she was thinking about, when she said ToM was better than TGS, for example).

Somewhat true but we should all be familiar with Leigh's style at this point. Some like it, others not so much. More than anything it's a clear attempt to get fans talking and excited about her hints. She did give us her topline thoughts however.

Suttree, id love to be on your pm list also for a non spoiler review from ya if that is at all possible. :)
