It IS that addictive. You'll end up having tens of links open, that you still need to read. On average, every page opens like 3-4 new pages.

ley, how could you be so evil? If i open that again i won't be able to leave. It would feel like heaven but turn reality hell

ever gone on wikipedia and opened two or three links on a page that you were interested in, basically that happens, but on every page, it's like a virus, multiplying from one until it sucks all your time/ your computer gets so slow from the tabs that you realise its time to stop

Wikipedia isn't THAT hard to leave for me. At least, I don't end up having over 9000 tabs open, like with TV Tropes.
