Greetings from Seattle,

I was first introduced to WoT in 2005 through a friend. To be honest, I found it to be a slow start and I stopped after the first 60 pages or so. A few months later I decided to try it again and read the Winternight chapter. At that point, I was hooked. Looking back, I'm extremely thankful I discovered this series relatively late in the game. For those that started reading the series in the 90s, I can't imagine the waiting that some of you endured.

Now that I've finished aMoL, I can't help but feel a little sad that the world RJ has created has effectively come to an end. To help mitigate, I've decided to re-read the series and of course, join DM. I'm looking forward to participating in many of the interesting discussions I've seen on the forums.

Welcome to DM!!

XD I love your handle, it had me amused. If you're into music, then you should come and visit the Band of the Red Hand social group, we love our music over there. Really, you should just check out all of the Social Groups, we have amazing people and really quite fun and hilarious discussions.

If you're at all into writing and roleplaying, definitely check out the roleplaying side, we're always keen for new writers to join the throng.   :)

So, I'm BB, feel free to PM me if you have any questions, or if you just wanna chat.  Hmm, now you need a nickname...al'Lanis Morissette. Lanis. *nodnod*

Welcome to DM Lanis!

Hello and welcome!  I had trouble getting through the first three chapters but then I was hooked. There are lots of things to do here.... and good people to meet who share your love of WoT.  Look around and we're here if you have any questions or need any help.

Welcome to DM! I agree with BB, if you want to make friends then take a look at the Social Groups. You will surely find one, or two, or three that you will enjoy. :D

Thank you all for the welcome. Still working my way through the various groups (there're quite a few). Will definitely be taking a look at the social groups. I've been distracting myself by reading old threads on the general WoT discussion board.
