New to the forums and quite new to the series. 

I learned about WoT via the awesome Blind Guardian songs. I had never heard of it before. So I asked some people about the series but I still wasn't so sure if I wanted to get into a 10+ book series. The next day I was looking for some books in my sisters' library and what do you know , there was the first Eye of the world volume on a shelf. No really. So that was what i needed to start. 4 months later and I am just starting Lord of Chaos.

I'd recommend that you go down and check out the Social Groups below.  There you will meet a lot of people and have a good time.  I started in the Wolfkin and then moved to the White Tower, but I'm also in the Aiel, Band, Black Tower, and Shayol Ghul.  There is also role playing if you are into that.  Always feel free to ask any questions and someone will help you out.
