He has finally arrived at the realization that you are a Goddess Elegant Eldest and can do anything!!!

Now..

Today's celebration sucks...literally!!!

It is MOSQUITO DAY!!

Why anyone would celebrate these little blood suckers is beyond me...maybe they are the official bug of Vampire's or something....

Marvelous, just encourage them, why don't we? *grumbles and mutters and makes a note to stay inside all day*

Today is much more fun...the birthday of Marvin the Martian!!!!  He was created in 1948 as a nemesis for the lovable wabbit...Bugs Bunny!  The opposite of the loud and blasting Yosemite Same..Marvin was quiet and subtle..but just as destructive!  Marvin's creator says this about him:

The writer George Burden  humorously notes that Marvin is certifiably insane:

"Now, Marvin the Martian is an interesting study. He has a one-track megalomaniacal desire to conquer the world and will calmly disintegrate anyone who gets in his way, without remorse. He is clearly delusional if he believes that, even with advanced technology, he can do this single-handedly (or, at most, with the help of his dog).

"Marvin most likely suffers from a psychotic disorder, delusional disorder of the grandiose type, diagnostic code 297.1. His dog on the other hand shares his master's delusion in that he slavishly follows him despite Marvin's illness and clearly should be labelled a shared psychotic disorder (folie à deux), 297.3." (from Wikepedia)

Happy Birthday Marvin!!!

I LOVE MARVIN! He was always my favorite! *grins*

"Oh, dear..." *laughs*

I don't remember his dogs name..but he had a girlfriend or partner..named Marcia Martian!  the most recent new cartoon Marvin has out is being shown at Six Flags this summer...

*shakes her head* I don't need new ones, I like the old ones! And the day Bugs Bunny dumped Hunny for Lola was a sad day in WB history...

lol well i am woefully out of the loop on my cartoons, so was surprised there was a new one!!  Once they started making them all the baby versions I got kind of bored....

Marvin is my ex-hub's fav too.  I am partial to the Sheepdogs, myself.  Or is that another show?  I could never keep track.

I don't remember the Sheepdogs...I was a FLintstones, jetson type of gal myself..although I did love Saturday Morning Cartoons..which is kind of a thing of the past now I think...all the networks had cartoons all morning...and they kind of died off about 11am when American Bandstand came on!!  LOL  Justice League and Batman were on just before it!

Today was National Aunt and Uncle Day!  Not one that the card companies have jumped on yet..and

All or Nothing Day.    Now what could have inspired that do ya think?

LOL I worked at 6 Flags for two years. Warner Brothers I knew backwards and forwards. LOL

And all or nothing, huh? Someone wanna play poker?

LOL  that all or nothing made me think of Ado Annie's song with Will ...with you it's all or nothing..all for you and nothin fer me...

Ah well..Today is National Lasagna Day!!  Woo Hoo!!  FOOD!  Somewhere people are celebrating with all kinds of yummy lasagna food....

what's your favortie?  Meat kind, homemade, resterant, vegetable?  I love the Vegie lasagna with the white sauce, spinich etc!!

anyone want to share a favortie recipe?

I have to say that I loves the meat lasagna.

Granted. I love it with lots and lots of cheese. Yay for National Lasagna day!

I do a  meatless lasagna that is alway a hit.  And you don't cook the noodles first.

mix shredded mozzarella and cottage cheese with frozen, thawed chopped spinach and 1 egg. I have added canned mushrooms, too.

layer sauce

then noodles (uncooked)

then cheese mix

then sauce

then noodles (uncooked)

then repeat.

pour about 1 cup of water all around the edges of the noodles and seal with foil.

cook about 1 hour, or until noodles are soft.

Yum!

*grins* Hey, Zarine!

And I love meaty lasagna! I have a recipe, but I'd have to kill you if I gave it to you. *grins* However, it's guaranteed to make any meat-eater fall in love with you. *winks* Dana and Staff, included... *laughs*
