Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight

Featured Replies

Sweet!

When that crappy D&D movie came out I thought they would have been better off making DoAT instead. And it will be nice to see Micheal Rosenbaum do something other then that crappy show Smallville that I can't stop watching.

Is the animation going to be the traditanal "hand drawn 2-d" or the lifeless to clean "3-D" computer animation?

I read maybe the first three books of this series before becoming bored. It read like I was playing D&D and my mommy always said DD was from the devil.

The first book in the Dragonlance Series is Dragons of Autumn Twilight you dink!

I thought the story was very well structured and moved at the right pace, and Cronicles is even better. But the rest of Dragonlance I do think is boring.

Oh right, I did enjoy that one which is why I bought the next two books. Really the only character I remember from the series is Tasslehoff because I kept thinking... do they mean Hasslehoff (that stud).

Dink out!

Sadly, I must admit that I'm a huge fan of DL... I read it as a kid, and my fascination has never quite died. I've been jumping on movie rumors for years now, and it looks like one of them might finally pan out! And they have some great voice actors on the bill as well.

The animation is supposed to be a combination of 2d and 3d, whatever that means.

Either way, I'll be there to see it when it comes out. I'm steeling myself for another D&D dissapointment, but I'll still be there.

I'll be there as well. I am a big Dragonlance fan too.

What part of Georgia are you from?

I'm from the NW corner of Georgia, about 2 hours from the big ATL. Very near Rome, if you know where that is.

Any opinions on Kiefer Southerland doing the voice of Raistlin? I think it will be a pretty good fit, since it's animated. Live action it would be horrid.

I think that was a very good choice and they film is very lucky to have him. He could do the creepy Raistlin perfectly.

Rumor is it may be a DVD only release... if so, it should be worldwide. But if not, just ask, and I'll mail you a copy :D

Tas was my favorite too... Jason Marsden is doing his voice... a great choice I think. He's a voice acting pro, and has great range.

awwwwwww thanks Kyara!! :D *huggs*

Though there might be a problem there, as the American dvd's don't work on the european dvd-players.

But I really lurve you for your offer!! *snugglebites*

Where are you getting all this info Kyara?

I gleaned my rumors and info from the same two sites you posted, Emporer, and also from Dragonlance.com forums... I have a log on there, but rarely visit anymore (except to pick up movie news).

The links to the right of the movie page are updated fairly frequently, so it's a good place to check on new info every few weeks.

Also, I used to be the "movie news" editor for a now defunct fantasy board, and I still keep in e-mail touch with a few of the snoopy people from there

Oh, I like this one. *eyes the new Seanchan member with a twinkle in his eye*

Snugglebites and twinkle eyes all in one day? I feel so special!

Myst, will American CD Roms play in Euro computers? That could be a solution... Though it's now been posted that it will be a worldwide release after all, so it shouldn't be a problem.
