Summary of my post: Cari dreamt of walking in the Tower, Raeyn ordering her to kill someone in a dark room. Alex was in the room tied up. Room changed to his bed room and she was now in his arms again. She slit his throat and was bathing in his blood when the seen changed ...

If you can post your summary I'll get a reply up.

sorry for the delay...

Nyssa found Matalina's dream and felt it was familiar. she pulled Matalina in her own dream, which was shaped like the room Mat was in, and she appeared as a tall woman in a white gown with white hair and pale blue eyes. she asked Matalina if she wouldn't rather serve a master that could keep her safe from those dreams.

Cari was surprised by what had happened. Dreamwalkers had never been a problem while bonded, now this one invaded her dreams, despite how horrid they had been.

Cari was not sure how such dreams could be kept away. They were after all part of her own subconscious thinking but she would keep her mind open. The Great Lord showed many possibilities to people. "I'm willing to listen, despite the fact I don't see how my own mind can be blocked from such nightmares of my own creation."

Cari wasn't sure she liked the way of this woman, but her air was slightly familiar, almost as if it was a part remembered from an old life. Something was oddly familiar about her.

Nyssa sat down opposite to Matalina’s bed, spreading her white skirts and making sure her white hair tumbled over her shoulders. It was an efficient disguise, because people realised it was fake, but they still had no idea about what they should look for. “The mind is an interesting place, Matalina. You of all people should know this.” She said, referring to the darkness that was brewing right under the surface of Matalina’s conscious mind.

“We can help you forget, and lead you down paths that are more… peaceful.” She at least hoped that Moghedien or Be`lal could do so. If not… well, she merely needed a binding promise from Matalina to settle it. Strong as the woman might be, she would think twice before betraying a Chosen after she had offered her allegiance to one. As for Nyssa… well, she was quite sure she was safe from this woman. If not, she had ways to deal with her. Elaborate and deadly ways.

“And we could keep you safe. Swear your allegiance to my master, and no one will ever invade your dreams again, the way I’m invading them now. Even better, we can keep your children safe from the same.” That was always a good incentive. Children were often more important in the mind of the mother than their own well being. Nyssa watched, trying to read Matalina’s expression. “What do you say to this?”

Cari could care less about her own safety but promises of protection for her children was a big plus. Cari sat and watched the woman before her in silence as she thought.

Peace of mind was not something she cared for, control of the shadow's actions but Cari rather enjoyed her dreams even if they were vile and repeative. Cari enjoyed the blood lust.

"I've two questions, who would my Master be that I'd have no fear my children would be harmed by any other? and what would this master ask of me?"

She already had a job, adding to it was possible but she hoped they never interferred. The idea was very intriquing.

So far Matalina seemed intrigued by her suggestions at least, which was more than Nyssa had hoped for. Of course she had other ways to bring the former warder of Raeyn Sedai over to her side, but she really did prefer it if people came out of their own free will. “Your master will be Duram Laddel Cham, though you probably only know him under the name that was given to him by those who fear him. He is Be`lal, the netweaver.”

She gave Cari a moment to process that information. She knew that the woman was no stranger to the Chosen, which was why it had surprised her that no one had snatched her up yet. Of course her Aes Sedai had been loyal to Mesaana. Perhaps they merely assumed that the loyalty of the Aes Sedai would pass down to the Warder. Foolishness, of course. Warders were as much their own beings as Aes Sedai, or Children of the Light, or Dreadlords.

“As for what you would be doing to serve my master…” she walked a little closer to Cari. The woman was lethal, but this was a dream that Nyssa controlled. She did not fear what she controlled. “You will be training some of our assassins. You will teach them all that you know. You will also do some small tasks for us. You’re a talented woman, and it would be a waste if we didn’t use them. The last Battle is coming nearer and nearer, and we need people like you to help our armies grow, and become as lethal as you.”

A real life chosen? Cari knew they had been released from the bore but she'd yet to actually be approached by one or even an agent of one. Be'lal, the net weaver. Cari wondered what types of things he'd need to handle with her talents but it mattered little, she'd probably never even met the man who was a direct hand of the Great Lord.

Her choices she was sure were limited in this. Either say yes or die, not that it was a hard choice. If she could guarntee safety for her children even from the likes of Carmen then she would gladly say yes. Her own life mattered little, but her children were the world to her, and she'd do most anything for them, even kill for them.

"So basically I'll be doing the same things." Cari smiled. "I don't think I'll have any problems doing that. What do I have to do?" Cari was sure there was something she would need to do, she wasn't sure why Be'lal or this woman felt she was fit to work for them but she was sure she'd earn her keep, she always did.

The woman told Cari it was just a matter of saying the words. Cari wondered if it was a binding contract like the oaths of the White Tower or just on your honor. It was probably a little of both as the Great Lord knew his minions and what they did for him. Cari didn't doubt his omnipotence.

Cari spoke softly in her dream state. "I swear my undying loyalty to Bel'al, the net weaver and the Great Lord. To be their servant in all they ask."

It was an odd feeling but Cari was sure that it was done, and just as she had been pulled into the dream of the woman's choosing she was hurled back into her own mind. A dream of sleeping with Alex, just sleeping and finding him alive and well. It was not a nice dream to fall into the one prior to that was more welcoming. Alex was dead and even if he wasn't he was not hers anymore.

Cari let herself drift off into sleep to wake with a new purpose. A servant of a chosen was now on her agenda.
