1. If you had to pick one song to describe your life on a daily basis, what would it be?

I walk a lonely road by Green Day.

And that choice of song reminds of an old Hindi song Tujse Naraz nahi zindagi...hairan hoon main(life is not mad at you... I am suprised)

2. When do you listen to music the most?

I don't listen to music much, only when someone recommends me or I am in a mood to or I am doing something like cleaning.

3. Do you listen to music in the shower?

no

4. What is your favorite music genre?

I have no idea about genres and how they differ. Mostly I listen to Hindi songs. I like love songs, songs related to heart break etc. Reason? Because they are soft and not loud and strange like other songs. Though my favourite song Kal ho na ho fits into neither category. Kal ho na ho(with english subtitles) is a song I really recommend to listen to on youtube

Old school hip hop like The Fugees, The Coup are some of my favourite things to listen to when I'm looking to just relax and aimlessly browse the internet. My flatmates share a pretty similar music taste and don't mind it when I blast it throughout the flat. Common Market and Blue Scholars are some of the best modern day hip hop I've heard. For those of you who don't know, they used to do work with Macklemore before he got big.

Old Rock used to take the cake no problem for me when it came to this discussion. For pre year 2000's I'd recommend Skid Row, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Boston (Love these guys!). For a more modern rock feel then I give it to The Gaslight Anthem which is by far the most underrated band! They're also amazing live.

For more mellowed out jazzy taste Charles Bradley is my favourite. "The world is going up in flames" is a great listen if you don't know who that is. From there you can probs dive into the related videos and make your own discoveries.

Nujabes, DJ Okawari. Blackmill too but they give me different vibes. If you like this stuff then check out Evan Awake's youtube channel because it has everything!

Piano wise - Disney and Anime tracks

Club music - Calvin Harris, DJ Topsider, DJ Antoine, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg & Dre, Swedish House Mafia, Justin Timberlake are all top! Not only for club music but for gymming and workout. There are some siiickk remixes on the net which work wonders to get you energetic and pumped! Some people prefer a more chilled out track when they're working out but I like to go into it with a quick energy burst. Titanium and Million Voices are two of the best running songs! Something about the tempo.

Honorable Backstreet Boys mention. No one REALLY hates the boys on the block :P Savage Garden, Enrique are all +++. Some of Enrique's songs are pretty god awful but he's definitely got some good ones too.

Phil Collins is an all time great. And Pit bull is disgusting.

Off the top of my head.

"Destined to Win" by Degarmo and Key. This is probably my favorite song of all time from my most favorite group.

2. When do you listen to music the most?

I listen to music the most when I am in my car, or when I am at work.

3. Do you listen to music in the shower?  No.

4. What is your favorite music genre?

My most favorite music genre is Christian Rock and Christian Metal. This includes music by DeGarmo and Key, Petra, Disciple, P.O.D., Kutless, Newsboys, Pillar, Third Day, dcTalk, Guardian, tobymac, White Heart, White Cross, and Audio Adrenaline.

Also, I enjoy some songs by Metallica and old school Lynard Skynard as well as old school Metallica. Finally, I am a big fan of Country music too. My favorite country artists are Blake Shelton, Justin Moore, Craig Morgan, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Zach Brown, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Shania Twain, Miranda Lambert, Reba McIntire, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisely, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Garthe Brooks.

celtic music...frm lotr? lol ther is almost no celtic music in lotr, neithre brythonic or gaelic, an gievn tolkien was mosly basing on anglo-saxon an scandinvian myth, it wuold be strnge to have had much of taht in there. closest it evre gets is th two folk songs by merry an pippin, one sung in green drgon and the othre in meduseld, but thos cuold be easily the comon drnking songs of the germanic people too, and the shier theme dos suond a bit gaelic at parts, but not really anythng else. in the hobbit, the crack the plate song sonded something of insular celtic folk music, but tahts abuot it. most of everythng else suonded germanic/norse and wagnerian.

There are some Celtic elements in LotR.  It is not surprising that some of the Shire music sounded slightly Celtic to you.  Tolkien based much of the area around Bree (just east of the Shire) on Celtic elements.  For instance, the place names Bree, Chetwood, Archet, and Combe all have Celtic origins.  Also, Tolkien was rather enamored of Welsh and based the phonology of Sindarin (the most common Elvish tongue) on that of Welsh.  It's possible that some of the Sindarin hymns from the soundtrack might sound vaguely Welsh/Insular Celtic, but not being Celtic myself, I have no idea.

Here's one of them (A Elbereth Gilthoniel):

(Yes, I know entirely too much about the linguistics of LotR.)

Ah, I have several favourites among those as well. ^^
