You know you have/read too many books when...

when you are moving two floors upstairs and even when using laundry baskets filled to the top you have to make more than 10 trips...

I know, it´s the worse part of moving. You can´t put all books in boxes because then they get to heavy to lift. I usually use paperbags but then you can´t fill them to the top because then the bags will break. I love my books but when I move I wish I didn´t have so many.

Whenever I go home from uni it reminds me a bit of going to a library >.>

I "return" the books I've currently got with me and read, and I "borrow" some new ones to bring back with me

i know i read too much as i've begun to use phrases from books i read for several months after i've finished them.

P.S my room looks like a library too, i woke up the other day finding 3 books in my bed tangled in the sheets lol

the secret to moving with so many books, is to half fill the boxes then fill the rest with light stuff...it does mean a few more boxes...I have all this to look forward to when my house is sold... :-(

Is it on the market? Do you know where you will move?

Hi, Luciena! You should be lucky that they didn´t hit you in the head. lol

You know that you read too many books to your children when they start kindergarden and they want to bring a comfort book instead of a teddy bear. :D Yep, that is true.

My bookshelf scares my friends. They think I have too many books. Honestly, they don't know how little books i have... I have around 100 and its excluding old textbooks for school. Not much

It is Tina, Only just gone on though...I'm not moving too far away, just to the next town (I'm in a village now)...It's a nightmare to keep tidy, well not for me but my daughter and her room...

I've never counted my books, I have had to get rid of a few when I sorted the house out, still have loads left, but couldn't get rid of any more.

I counted for another thread on DM once. Puny number, only around 160-something. Doesn't include Reader's Digest or school books.

Tina, I think that's a sign you've been raising them right!
