Ok, sorry, been a very busy weekend.

Finally caught up. While Darthe's lynch was the only one attainable at some point, before that point there were some pretty weak votes. I opened up tabs for all of them, but there were several. Of course, the ultimate one being Cloud's hammer without so much as a peep from him.

 

I won't say much more as it is still night, but tomorrow will be interesting. I agree with Dap and with AH (although perhaps not as enthusiastically) that we could have kept Darthe alive and have him help us until we finally lynched him. I see peace's point about wasting a cop view, but if we were going to kill him anyways we could have kept him around a while longer and worked on people we actually thought were scummy.

 

Right now I'm suspicious of Cloud and Basel, not too much has changed about that with the lynch. Especially my thoughts about Cloud.

As far as Darthe goes. He was pretty adamant that he was NOT going to do anything. How were we going to "force" him to help us. Vote him? he has been telling us to lynch him to get rid of the WIFOM he creates so I don't think that he was going to budge. The only chance would be to have a LD or some other role try to vet him. Not sure if those roles will be in this game. I think there might be a LD but the others would be less likely IMO. Well a Doc is probable but the only way to vet him as a doc would be to protect him and there are probably more kills than just the mafia so even that would be inconclusive.

Honestly, I don't know how others hadn't picked up on this yet. Darthe even said himself how he has been a bomb twice and gotten a mafia to hammer him twice, and claiming miller and advocating a self-lynch is an easy way to accomplish the same kind of thing had he been a bomb. Obviously, the chances of him getting the role yet again and using it in a similar manner are somewhat low, but the fact is, I don't think there's ANY way the mafia team would have let any of them hammer him, and would have made it clear not to do so. So in my mind, Cloud is just about confirmed town almost for the hammer.

 

Obv there is some wifom here, since if Cloud is mafia he could have just blundered, or possibly just had some major cojones and thought Darthe wouldn't be a bomb, but I don't see either of these possibilities as being that likely at all. Cloud is a fairly good mafia player and I don't see him doing the former, and being that he is still somewhat inexperienced I think him doing the latter would have pissed off his teammates whether Darthe ended up being a bomb at all, and considering that Cloud had some attention early in the game I HIGHLY doubt if he was mafia he would have done something else to draw more attention.

 

Also, Darthe really hadn't made it seem like he had anything else to say on the matter. Kinda silly really, that so many were acting cautious and trying to get more out of him before the lynch. Some of those people also made it seem like they still didn't want to lynch a claimed miller, which is also suspect.

 

So yeah, in my eyes, Cloud is town, and Dap is mafia.

So it looks like your case is totally based on him hammering Darthe with about 3 hours until deadline because some were hoping that Darthe would come in and talk more when Darthe had made it fairly clear that he had no intention of doing so.

Obv not everyone who fell prey to this behavior is scum, but there's definitely some GREAT leads here. Notice that Tink was also on the side of calling out Cloud for the hammer (while still trying to do so somewhat neutrally, he had started to pop up slightly on my scumdar recently), and we all know he turned out to be scum. Nya and RTE also both ping hardcore for their posts, especially in RTE's case since he was continuing to push the "we should have kept a claimed miller alive" angle. Nya also seems to be pushing the cutesy innocent angle a little hard as well, I know she normally talks like that, but I've seen her be more serious in mafia games in the past. Anyhoo, speaking of Tiink, I thought I should also make note of these posts:

I was trying to show Dap the error of his argument- the only way to "confirm" a claimed miller would be to use a diff PR, and the whole reason the miller claimed was to prevent the cop being possibly outed. So it was an altogether stupid idea, aside from the fact that keeping Darthe around longer would've prob just kept the town distracted.

 

Regarding your manner of questioning and tunneling- I know the purpose of those questions. Getting stances of people you're wary of early on is a good thing. However, it seems to me that it might be that you're more concerned with looking like you're scum hunting, ie throwing out those type questions very often instead of mixing it up a bit.

What are the chance with Tiinker having recruiting and possible GF role that he was able to read the mafia QT and knew them.  I think it's more likely than not.  Given this, I feel the following post is interesting:

 

 

Personally I think the Talya case is dreadful. She asked for clarification because something was... unclear? It's like when someone says their going on their gut and tries to use that as legit reasoning. It seems to me that there's a lot of focusing on what Talya has said without even bothering to see what she was replying to. Difficult to attribute to bad town play or scum.

I'm cool to lynch Darthe. Why? Because I think it would've been much more useful for him to have actively contributed to the game for the Days he'd be alive. He's a good scum hunter so hunt scum while your alive and on the chance that a cop views you, then make your claim. Both scenarios you've taken a day of towns time, but in one you've actually contributed to a town win. 

This way it seems like he's trying to do exactly what he claims he could be doing.

Never once said anything contrary to my belief that Kronos is a good way to go you keep harping that I have contradicted myself when infact I havent, my case on Kronos is flimsy at best it's more a gut feeling, can't really run up a train on a gut feeling, no one will follow you.

We won't get into grammar nuances in this game, it was a here is what he said it could be read one way or the other.

 

Turin the fact that you are really harping on me over not pushing Kronos harder when I'm really not pushing anyone is very suspect. My current list is Kronos Cloud and Turin in no specific order. I mean I'm voting myself here guy, I'll give you thoughts all day but when it comes down to it you will have to put yourself on the board with your own stance. Stop waiting for other people to make cases and make your own. My reason for wanting Kronos lynched is solely a gut feeling. My reason for Cloud is his over explanation and fumbling of his explanation while doing it. My reason for Turin is because all he is doing is asking other people for their thoughts on people instead of giving thoughts that can be pinned to him.
