That's right horror films... there is another Jason film on the way. But wait kiddies, it gets better. This is not a sequel, it is not a prequel... it is a remake of the original film that spawned such great material as Jason IN SPACE. I just.... can't... wait....

According to JoBlo.com, Platinum Dunes is working on a script for a remake of the horror classic Friday the 13th.

"Well, we're working on a script right now," said Platinum Dunes' Andrew Form. "Not in the first two quarters for that movie; maybe at the end of next year. But right now we're just working on a screenplay."

The he thing that made me really enjoy Peter Jackson’s LOTR was that despite the departures from the books the story was told in the same tone as the novels and so it still felt like LOTR Same went for Game of Thrones, the books had a darker tone and thus so did the show so it felt like the same world and the same story. WOT by contrast just does not have the same tone as the books. It feels like they are trying to tell the story of WOT in the tone of GOT and it just feels off
