Bowie was, and still is pretty darn cool. I am just saying that he really likes his mullet. And was one of the first to really rock it.

Who else is there? Well here is a two for one.

Okay, Bowie can be unique and we shall call it part of his alien style. The guy does have style.

Back to our mullet parade... You can even get one for your LEGO

Seriously, where I used to live - I think they might be coming back. Or at least one of their derivative products 'the Tail' or mini mullet. lots of pre-teen going on 25 year old boys seem to have one.

I was a child of the 80's. We had style ... it was bad lol.

My eldest sister had a 'flick', which was a massive curve fringe that swept low and covered one eye. The sides were short and brushed back ... and she then grew a long tail, about half an inch wide at the back. occasionally a Madonna style chiffon scarf would be tied in a big bow above the fringe.

I tried and failed miserably to carry off such a look, considering as my hair is as straight as tap water.

so basically kind of an 80's mash up of this fringe and hair do

Totally a legit inclusion because the Tail is officially a Mini Mullet

Can I mention the Perm?

I would say in the early 1990's, the Perm had a major come back. To be a 'cool girl' one had to have a loose curled perm ... and a kind of sticking up fringe on one side of your forehead that was basically frozen in carbonite by the use of a whole can of hairspray.

to get the effect, simply touch your right palm to the right hand side of your forehead above your eyebrow, then stretch your fingers out straight an wide and look in a mirror.

THAT is what their fringes looked like.
