i'd hate to see dragonriders filmed, i know they'd get the dragons wrong. 

You're right that's not how I see Dragon of Pern in general.

 

There's a covers that shows them as bejeweled, delicate yet strong that I really liked as it concur with my vision of how dragons should be.

I'll try to find it when I do have the time.
