Hello, 2nd half of 2013!

It's going by too fast isn't it.

yes, it is! It's almost time for me to get started on back to school stuff! *groans*

 

 

However, I have done two big things in the last 10 days. 1) I took up goecaching and 2) I joined the SCA. HOLY CRAP, when do I have time for this stuff? lol

Geocaching is fun...I haven't done it for awhile though.

I found my first cache yesterday. :) I totally suck at it. LOL 

You get used to it after aahile.

Joined the SCA, you've JOINED?! You know that means you have to show up now...

yeah, yeah. With Dana going to the track on Saturday, I'll do my best to swing by Fighter Practice. Will that make you happy?

Wow this year is going by fast. We just finished our huge event for the year (Known World Heralds and Scribes was down in San Antonio. Long drive for me, but worth it! Fun to be the hosting kingdom. Next year... it's in Vegas!) 

 

July promises to be busy, my son vanishes off to camp for two weeks (I Love summer camp), and then we're going to take a family road trip at the end of the month. Cause family road trips are awesome adventures.  

July= school reopened...and I have yet to finish my holiday homework

Castle Wars is usually not very well timed, love. If it doesn't fall on a holiday, I can't do much... :(

Its in November and is close enough to you to do a day trip... and probably the best/ closest event you're gonna find until Fool's War in April...

Tell me about the SCA...what exactly is it? Should I join?

Castle Wars... November... *sighs* We'll see. I make no promises, since it totally depends on everything else going on in November. That's NaNo month, you know that, right???

WBK, the SCA is the Society for Creative Anachronism and it a recreation group for the Middle Ages... we do all sorts of medieval stuff all over the world...  

 

As for why you should join, because it is awesome fun!

Yes, you should definitely join! It's totally fun. And Lor has already provided the link the Current Middle Ages.  

I'm going to join SCA soon.

*laughs* there are about 4 Kinsters who are active SCA'ers and that doesn't include me. It's handy to have friends who you can pester... :)
