I would like to try my hand at some mafia. I am a complete noob so if I could get a mentor with a lot of patience that would be nice lol. Trust me they will need it.

Lovely to have you all. Should be oodles of fun. I would say that I was open to Bribery for good roles and all that - but you can just save up and buy your own if you are that way inclined lol.

 

Hmmm ... should I post Rules? I really cant be bothered lol. Normal IthiRules apply. That should do it lol

 

I assume we can't edit in this game? I think that might be good to point out for the first timers.

Never fear. Proper rules will be posted in the actual Game Thread.

 

Mish can't be a Mentor as she is playing - but I shall endeavour to find you a good match.

 

Activity will be required and rewarded :biggrin:

 

If there is not sufficient activity you will just not have as much fun because you won't get to buy as much stuff :)

I will try my bestest to get Mentor's to match each of you that has asked for one :)

This will be my first time playing here on Dragonmount, although I have played Mafia games before (such as the WoT version "Are You a Darkfriend?" in RL at Dragon*Con) and ran a version once on another WoT site I belong to (omitting the protector role, but that was primarily due to having a strict time limit to have the game finished by, so I stripped out the mechanic so I could always rely on two people being eliminated each day and wouldn't have to worry about running overtime).

 

Unless there's something unique here compared to normal Mafia gameplay, I suppose all I really need to know is what the "Harry Potter" names are for the commoner, mafia, protector, and information-getter roles, and whether there's any other special roles I need to know about.

Not really ... If you know how to play Mafia then that's cool with me :) and you can always bug me via PM if there is something you don't want to ask in the Thread.

People with no special ability or Role are called Vanilla. Mafia are called Mafia - or some call them Scum. There will be possibly quite a few Roles in the game ... that is down to each individual player and how they want to play the game.

I shall play.

 

I'd prefer to play, though if there are enough new people who want to play, I'll give up my spot and mentor if needed.

Oh my goodness, I almost missed this. I'm so sorry Time. I have added you now, in the place where you should have been.

 

 

And so the Game is FULL.

 

Although I still need one more Mentor and any back-ups who are GUTTED at missing out on this are more than welcome to follow along and step in to be heroes if necessary :)

 

Now we have to wait ....

And I have now got 5 Mentors available ... so if anyone else would like one just let me know. Anyone willing to read along and be a back up will be greatly appreciated :)

 

The Game will start on 28 July 2013.

 

Players with Mentors will receive a PM before the Game starts so they can get some basic 'how to play' stuff and get to know their Mentor a bit. It WON'T contain any Game information.
