Last time my quartet went out, we got about $75 each for about four hours, plus some free photos and two potential gigs that didn't turn into anything.

We went out again tonight and got a business card for a guy that wants us for a few functions and $105 each for three hours. That's $421.40 total people!! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*keeps finding stray coins in cello case*

WOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!  We like Friday nights now.    :)   We'll be doing some more of them.

See this makes me wish I could play an instrument. *laughs* It's harder to busk dancing. *laughs* Anyway congrats good luck and awesome all rolled into one!!!!! :)

Went out again last night. Not as much money, but we put out a sign saying we do functions, and got dates and discussed prices for six or seven different gigs!!

Next time you're out, you guys should play Jack O' Shadows, so I'll know its you when I walk past xD

Congrats BB! Maybe sometime you should video it and post it here! Better yet, put it on your FB to spread the word and get gigs for anyone who doesn't see you in person.

Awesome stuff, BB. Always great to see one living the dream and the dream providing a living

Out of interest what instrument do you play?

Ahh cool stuff.

I'm thinking about learning a musical instrument (now I have time to learn)... haven't decided yet between a guitar or the banjo.

Haha yeah. Learnt a lil guitar....like tiny tiny lil amount when I was in school but have always enjoyed the sound of the banjo at folk festivals!!

He he, yeah, my brother's a guitar pro and you'd think with the whole string, cello thing, I'd be able to do play guitar better, but, not so much XD  If I got one, I'd manage  :p

Woooooo banjoooooo XD My granddad has one of them, but he's in England and in the attic, so that's not much use   XD

That's cool... That's one thing my family ain't is musical! lol

But maybe I can change that with abit of luck and persistence

Oh and yeah have decided the banjo is the way to go.... Once the tax man's been paid, I'll start shopping around for one!! Woooo

Woooo!!!!!!!!! I expect regular updates on your banjo experience XD

We did a gig today for our German teacher's ex-flatmate's Doctor friend.  XD   And still let them pay mate's rates :p

The wedding was lovely, at a nice restauranty garden club thing and the couple seemed very happy, and we successfully played without destroying anyone's special day, so it was all very nice.    :)

Will do...though might have to wait for Christmas as my dentist is trying to make me a pauper!!

Glad to hear that the latest gig was a success! And a wedding no less!!

Tell him to come downstairs sometime. I'm guessing the rest of the house is more comfortable.

XD oops

Sometimes bad grammar can make sentences much more fun XD

We're averaging about ninety every time we go out now, which is exciting. :)

Last time, we all got extremely excited because this guy threw in a green note, which in Australia is $100, our highest note value, but we checked it out and it was just a fake million dollar note with a philosophical rant about the million dollar question out the back. :/
