These are people's corpses, no flotsam and jetsam and no poison. The people came from the yacht.

Urgh my brain does not work this way.

Has the fancy-ness of the yacht got anything to do with it?

BAHAHAHAHA. No I know enough about baseball to have gotten that.

But yay I received an award!

This is seriously the most fun I've had playing a game on DM. Thank you so much. Don't want it to end, hope it doesn't anytime soon!

Interesting. Feel like I've heard or seen something like this. Need to think.

Would not have gotten the chainsaw table one for sure though.

Oh maybe I already asked about sharks...

Was there some type of alien being on the ship?

there's no evidence of attack, no flotsam and jetsam.

I'm thinking they went swimming and couldn't get back in but I don't know why not.

Wow, next time I am not going to sleep, sorry about the off topic

They are people, no shark attacks, jellyfish or Alien, or anything and yes, they did drown. The yacht was fancy and there is nothing to do about the drowning and it was not the Titanic  .

There is no one on the yacht and no one or nothing demanded/made/scared them so they jump in the sea. The yacht is perfectly well-working, it even might still have fuel, there is food and beverages on board.

If you say why they can't get back - you win, as they indeed were tipsy and decided to jump and swim.

were they tipsy and swimming and it got dark and they lost the boat and couldn't find it in the dark and drowned?

they were swimming next to the yacht

Hint: guys, imagine a big yacht

The current of the still-moving yacht pulled them under the water as they swam too close and they drowned.
