Starbound

I believe the beta just came out on steam or will be available really soon. Is anyone going to play this? Personally I'm really excited and can't wait to dive into it. From what I've seen it looks like Terraria but in space. I never actually played Terraria or got into it so I can't comment on how accurate that might be. And if you don't know what Terraria is...well it's like a 2d sidescrolling Minecraft. I guess. It also has a little bit of an FTL feel to it although it's not a roguelike or anything like that.

So far I've seen a couple LP's of Spacebound and for what is already in the game it looks relatively enjoyable. And the fact that it's just a beta and more is planned has me really excited. I especially love the audio in this game. The sound effects and the background noise and the music are all great.

Check this game out!

Terraria was amazing (especially with the latest content update). This game shares a few Terraria Devs and general design--so i'll be playing it. I like Terraria's aesthetic better, but this game will likely surpass what they could do with Terraria due to the space-theme.

Not that Terraria was all that bothered with making sense aesthetically... what with mixing swords, magic, guns and explosives all into the same game.

Fair enough. I didn't really type that as I meant to say it, but that's all beside the point really. I was trying to get out the door and off to work.
