what would the tree of woe be without pears of anguish?

 

I think chains in lieu of garlands would be perfect. 

 

*sets about stringing chains on the tree*

These add nicely to our Christmas tree

little bubbles of evil captured in snow globes

Tree should have an overabundance of mistletoe, seeing as how evil a plant that is (a poisonous plant that passes itself off as festive, how much more evil can you get as a plant?)

For the lights we can use the "white lights" from Stephen King's It

 

 

If that's too evil, we can go with those little globes that contained the lost memories from the Neverending Story.
