No, don't elope... make the wedding your own... DM style.

 

Groom wears ashaman coat with sword and dragon pin (And a herron marked sword on belt.)

Groomsmen wear similar but no pins on the collar (Swords optional)

 

Bride wears Amerlyn stool and is the amerlyn seat (Should have serpent ring either as wedding ring or just on to wear it)

Bridesmaids are either each dressed in a different color (ajah) or pick one ajah and have them wear that color. (Rings optional)

 

Then go further with WoT cake, party favors, etc...

T-shirt and jeans sounds great. I had a medieval wedding.
