So food is always an essential, share your favourite recepies of stuff that would be viable in a medival setting, of course pictures are also welcome of these dishes, or if you don't know the recepie...post name of the dish and describe it, maybe someone else know it and can share it with you and us ;)

Not so much a recipe, as an interesting fact from the Medieval times which I've always found fascinating:

 

Because bread was such an important food, there were laws introduced in England, known as the Bread Laws. (The Assize of Bread and Ale, in the 13th century).
Bakers who were found guilty of selling loaves that were underweight, could be locked in the pillory (a wooden framework on a post with holes for the head and hands).
