It is Memorial Day...

... in the United States.

A day to honour those who have served our country(ies), and perhaps given the ultimate sacrifice that the world may try to be a better place, that freedom may rise above tyranny.

Who do you honour, this day?

My Grandfather was an Army Ranger in Korea. Best man I ever knew. Here's to you, from your weird, book-reading grandson.

Our Remembrance Day is in November. It's easier to remember when it's a grey cold day. I've seen a lot of FB posts about BBQs and the like.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.
