So, let's talk about the evil doers. Who is your favorite baddie? Personally, I like Lanfear, although I admit I haven't read far in the series. There is something about using seduction to corrupt that appeals to my black heart.

Asmodean is my favorite Forsaken.

 

My favorite villain was Fain because I always expected him to do something really cool but his ending was kind of a let down.

 

I guess in the end I'd say Taim just because I like his style.

I like Graendal :)   Fain was intriguing. Machin Shin was always eerie and I enjoyed it even if it was basically just a murderous fog.

Do the white cloaks count as baddies? Because I really like the complexity of these people doing such wrong things for the best of reasons.

I always think of them as evil, so yes. (Just not our brand of evil...)

That's one of the things that I really like about WoT, those people who are in the middle but feel realistic.

 

No-ones brand of evil is quite as sophisticated as ours.

RJ has really fleshed out characters and helps the reader see the motivation behind even the worst character's behavior. These books are very well written. I really need to get back to reading them. 

I need to actually get around to finishing them. I'm on 82% of book 13 >.>

I took a break to read A Dance With Dragons by GRR Martin, and then I had to turn to something light. I'll be recovered soon, most likely.

Going over to the Shadow so you can play music forever?  I honestly can't really think of a better reason than that.

 

Fain was badass in that he was like 3 different people/powers in one, but even though Mat killed him it was kinda weakly written imo.

 

 

Idk if he counts, but I liked Aram a lot as a villain.  I liked watching his fall.

I don't really have a favorite baddie, though.  Therava was pretty evil, though she wasn't a DF (as far as we knew).

Does Verin count as a baddie since she was Black Ajah?  Even though she redeemed herself overall?

There are quite a few good "bad guys" in WoT that aren't necessarily Dark Friends or turned to the Shadow. You are right Dar.
