Valentine's Day. Love it or leave it?

While I am all about celebrating holidays commemorating martyred saints, I'm really not big on the 'commercial' element of the holiday. For one thing, I detest the color pink, for another, I feel like people should show they love and appreciate each other 365 days a year. 

 

That said, my husband and I have spent more Valentine's Days inviting single friends to hang out with us and taking 'them' to nice dinners than doing "romantic couple things." 

 

And I have already gotten (and hidden until the day) for my son a cute stuffed animal because while I am the "woman" in his life, I want to enjoy it. Thank goodness he's only nine. 

Meh. Take it or leave it. I usually pretend it doesn't happen. Could care less about commercial aspects.

Leave it. I'm getting really tired of seeing all those gaudy Valentine's Day decorations at work.

I don't like it much, but it involves chocolate - and chocolate is ALWAYS good.

I love Valentine's Day, but my husband is as romantic as a stick. I'm usually terribly disappointed. :(
