Been way too long since we've done one of these!

    not that I don't like the cover but the original has a vibe that instantly catches my attention which the Glee version lacked.

     

    Plus they're very similar, and if that's the case why bother with the cover?

    I vastly prefer the original. Even my disdain for Glee aside (stupidly unrealistic in so many regards), the original has soul. The cover has pasty smiles.

    Ehhhh I'm going to go with original on this one.  To be fair I'm not a fan of this song that much...I hear it a lot!  I don't mind most of the songs they do on Glee.  Some of them are really good!

    I heard the song for the first time on Glee, and since then it has always made me smile. The cover means something to me in that it symbolizes hope, perseverance and joy for music. As with most of the songs I've heard covered through the years I'm usually always drawn to the one I heard first. That's the version that has meaning to me.

     

    Clearly an unpopular opinion.. lol!

    The original is much better. Despite being overplayed in recent years, I still want to sing along with it whenever I hear it. It's gritty, it has heart. The cover on the other hand is bland and offends my musical sensibilities.

    No question, the original.  I'm in full agreement with Tay.  I couldn't even listen to the full cover.  Where's the passion?

    I like the original more, mainly because I had to sing the Glee version with my choir class...and we were really, really bad. (I still have no clue how I managed to get an A in choir)
