Struck me funny

Featured Replies

Going through WOT for the 2nd time, but probably the 5th time for The Dragon Reborn and ran across a passage that struck me as funny - never noticed it before, but the two words were 'snarling Darlin'.

On page 552 - the full sentence is: "It was all a snarling Darlin could do to keep the staff from him."

Any other funny word combinations you remember in the series?

page references are vague since each format has a different amount of pages.  it is better to tell chapter/scene references than page references; or to also tell the format if page is told.

Sometimes Mat or Thom makes me laugh.

EotW Chapter 34,

Once Rand misjudged a driver's whip, just by the length of the tip. Clapping his hand to the shallow gash over his eyebrow, he swallowed hard to keep from vomiting at how close it had come to his eye. The driver smirked at him. With his other hand he grabbed Mat, to stop him nocking an arrow.

"Let it go," he said.

I have to make sure I'm not drinking anything when I read that. Mat would be the one to shoot the arrow and say "What? You told me to let it go..."
