I use "proper" English when conversing here on DM, but in RL, I use quite a few of these so-called slang terms lol. Anyone going to JCon may find some of these useful ;).

I prefer the term "standard" to "proper".  Aint nothin' wrong with non-standard.

Yesterday, I heard someone from my state speaking on the tv, and I was struck by how pronounced his accent was. I never really thought about it before, but now I realize I don't say "get" I say "git" lol. And "on" is "own."
