Well yeah that's kind of a given, but that doesn't mean you need to use it to ruin everyone else's life.

But the idea was that I wrote it in "standard" potholing, the way TV Tropes normally uses.

Usually if they do that they will make the words link to the page, like you have been doing.

In fact it happens automatically if you write it that way. If you have ThisIsALink, then it refers to page Main/This Is A Link automatically. And it's on the own page as This Is A Link too.
