I don't think pointing out it was an if statement makes it a misrep. I said why I still thought it was scummy regardless of his use of the word if. His use of the word anyway was much more suspect in my opinion (along with the other issues I pointed out apart from that one Thane statement) but we've all been over this, with the conclusion that none of it was very helpful or convincing apparently so I'll drop it for the time being. Willing to wait and see on Zander.

I'm here. Sorry I didn't make a point of checking up on the thread as soon as I woke up, I figured night would last till deadline.

Sorry for slow response guys, been a bit slammed at work last couple of days.  My vote still stands,whether it be right or wrong will soon be determined.  And in response to Verbals quote about Tayla saying "'m happy where my vote is right now, I'm not sure about Ley, I think his frustration makes him wolf automatically. People seem to be picking on him because he has had arguments with them over grammar, or how things should be said."  My thought process on this statement, is most people don't like to be corrected. While I understand using proper grammar is the right way to do things, many people that I've interacted with not just on DM but people I know get defensive when corrected this way because they feel like their intelligence is being insulted.  Whether or not that is the, case this is just my personal experience with people I have interacted with.

 

I agree about people not wanting to be corrected and it can frustrate people and be very annoying, doesn't automatically make him wolf. I do feel like I'm being personal attacked about it, I have problems reading (and sometimes writing as it is). Any way I agree..that's what I wanted to say

 

Sorry for not explaining better earlier. I believed Ley to be frustrated town, so I voted someone else hoping to get some traction going, but I failed. Maw was always the most suspicious out of the Talya/Ley/Maw trio to me, and I still don't believe all three to be villagers.

I've been liking Maw's posts, I think the thing I'm most uncomfortable with with him is his defense of me. I didn't really notice it as much (to the point that it bothers me) until the last time i read through. It feels like scum buddying up to town.

Sooh - no I haven't done an ISO but I did reread the thread and didn't pick up on that. But fluff doesn't make wolf nor town. I will check tonight if I get chance and maybe you too. I don't think you have done too much this game.

You're absolutely correct on me not doing much. I've been having a guilty conscience over mafia for the last several days. I ended up playing three games at the same time, which is too much for me. I decided to sub out in BFG's game seeing as it's such a huge game and focus my efforts on the two others.

 

As for Mawt I haven't convinced myself that he is mafia yet. I'm leaning that way, but far from convinced. I think we need to focus on other players entirely for a while and rather come back to Maw. I would like to see how he handles just regular gameplay with no pressure.

I may have been a bit clumsy when expressing myself thought, because what I was actually thinking was that those two (Talya and Ley) were his PREFERRED lynches. I didn't really see anything very scummy in that.

There is a difference between being indecisive and fence sitting.  You can have suspects, clearly lay them out and support their lynch.....but be indecisive on actually placing a vote or being unsure who should be lynched over the other.

 

 

And then there is fence sitting and playing the neutral party on everybody.  You appear to want everybody to be a lynch potential, but won't openly support any of them - this allows you to have an out upon mislynching villagers, and a "I knew it!" upon lynching wolves.

I've played a handful of games with him over the past couple of years, but not recently.  From what I recall, he made reasonable posts as a villager and didn't really ruffle many feathers.  So I'm seeing a bit of a different take here, but this could well be my missing out on a shift in his playstyle.  I'd defer to BT members that have played more recently with him.

@ Verb:  Talya could be frustrated Villa or not.  Need more to get a proper read.

 

Maw ive been fine with actually but now the Ley flips town its making me wonder.

Ok guys I'm mainly going to be able to post on and off, route is really busy today, but this is where I am.

Verbal- has been very active and engaging. has been defending numerous people he thinks is town. From a few town games if I recall right, he is usually solid about picking out villagers.

Zander- my read on him hasn't changed, his day 2 play has been solid.

Dice- he is my slight town read, I don't remember if he has posted since d1.

What bugs me is the role can be apart of town or mafia, and her claiming that early seems like it would hurt the town.

Alanna- one of her most recent posts about maw defense vote looking more strange as she read it pinged me, because ley said something along the lines that mafia tend to defend townies.

If it was a original thought I wouldn't think as much of it, but it felt like she was just trying to distance. This is more of a gut thing

 

Rte - looks really bad from interaction with zander. I agree with verbal rte.if you are town you need to reassess the situation.

The only reason you might be a townie is you believed in your push, even if it wasn't solid.

 

Maw - was very defensive with ley, I felt like his push was thin. He only seemed to dig in when I made the comment to ley with corv.

Also my suspicions with his post to darthe.

Tbh I may be dragging alanna into this, but the way her and maw are posting towards one another seems off.

I think Corv would have been an easy lynch to push through by the wolves, so that's why I think he might have been vigged.

We have our first actual post of the game. Talya gives reads on various people and wants to find out reasoning behind votes, appears to be unaware of the longstanding tradition of jokes votes between myself and leyrann. Talya votes me, apparently to garner reactions, Leyrann responds with incredible levels of snark.

 

I can buy that she left the first thread before our rivalry became clear, so I'm not too worried about Talya here. I'm slightly suspicious of Ley's reaction. Seems a little over the top.

 

@village:  I don't think Talya should be the lynch today, even though many of you might think she should be.  If she's a villager, then we should give her the time to break out of whatever weird mood she's in and be the villager we hope she is.  If she's a wolf, this method of playing it will likely spew out her entire team, so I'm down for letting it continue.

 

@wolves:  Nothing to say to you people, but I didn't want you to feel completely left out.  See you soon.  ;-)

I like Verb's point here. No need to rush the D1 lynch. Makes me feel like he's town.
