[Harry Potter Week] Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Mafia - GAME OVER - TOWN WINS

Featured Replies

On my phone, so I'm not going to try quoting everything.

I think Taborline's post was more likely to be bad okay than an outright scum claim. Could be bad town, could be bad mafia, but I'm not going to lynch him for it.

Similarly, I don't fault anybody for taking the stance against him. Razen's post was a very understandable conclusion - I don't think he was reaching (or completely making anything up) when he said it looks like role fishing.

The one that looks the worst to me is [v]ReleaseTheEvil[/v]. If he thinks it was a noob mistake, whatever, but immediately suspecting anybody for a different pov is incrediblybsketchy.

Good afternoon! I've got about 30 minutes before I need to head to work, so thoughts?

Lots of meh, just skimmed so far to catch up

Wondering if Tabor is too scummy to be mafia, but the last time I thought that Eldrick flipped mafia  she needs to explain what she meant originally.

Your initial reaction was either absurdly pro-town (drawing attention away from the role hunt) or absurdly pro-mafia (extending conversation) but could go either way at this point, feeling good from the quote war yesterday so 'll go pro town for now.

Still want Razen to explain the Dice/Clov thing

Few people conspicuously absent; Hallia amongst them

I'm quite liking RTE and Rhea for their humour, but I'm not sure if I can really call it alignment indicative.

Honestly I need to read in detail. There's something niggling me, but I don't know what or where :/

I can order a list of nulls, but very few people are outside that yet.

We really don't seem to be on the same page yet :(

Although I'll grant the reaction was weird

Also don't like Rhea"s post. It gives me the feeling she is (or should be?) Suspicious of him, but she just "notes it".

Bolded - I didn't explain that well (running theme )

Tabor referred to VT separately to roles under pressure. Laines initial response focused on the mafia side of things over the potential PR hunt

+1

Were you asking me to explain, BFG? The only reason I brought it up was that it seemed like a clue, something to take into account as we move forward. And there being more scum than special town roles, that could be even more of a hint.

BFG how can it be either absurdly pro town or pro mafia? haha I feel like those are two extremes

Pro town because you try to draw attention away from the potential PR hunt, by focusing on the mafia side of it. Pro mafia because you're extending a conversation that could get 'dangerous'. Doubt you'd do something that risky as mafia though, so leaning town (bolstered from yesterday)

What are we apart on?

Other than RTE for that post, there hasn't been anything that's completely jumped out to me as scummy. Very few players have really given me much to feel good about. If I made a list right now, I'd probably have seven or eight nulls.

Lol ok. Why did you draw attention to the other potential PR when Laine said about mafia goons?

I guess we're not really. I liked RTE's earlier humour but don't know if it's alignment indicative.

Pro town because you try to draw attention away from the potential PR hunt, by focusing on the mafia side of it. Pro mafia because you're extending a conversation that could get 'dangerous'. Doubt you'd do something that risky as mafia though, so leaning town (bolstered from yesterday)

I guess that makes sense. But that's also not what bothers me. In a game where we're hunting for scum, why not mention scum and why say "special roles"? It's not necessarily the fishing that's bothering me, but her leaving out what should be the focus of a town member (finding scum).

When I said about not wanting to lynch someone who was potentially the good role? Just as another side of why it would be interesting to know that Sooh had something, it can be beneficial for town as well.

Because I'm new to this game here and "Special Roles" is the term we use on my other forum as an all-encompassing term, that was all that was about.

Am I correct in interpreting that post you are saying her post seemed more concerned with mafia play than town?

Did you think Sooh was in danger of being lynched? What benefit to town?

my post? I'm not getting the wording you're using here. What I mean is that her original post was focusing on Sooh being town with a special role and not the potential for her to be mafia. The conclusion I'm making is that Taborline is scum because she didn't take that possibility into consideration because she already knows Sooh's alignment

I can see that

That's basically what I was saying. That you took her post to be focused on finding the cop (mafias goal) and not mafia (town goal)
