Leelou/Talmanes interaction, for one. I can post the sequence if you like - I just went back to review it myself. It was longer than 30 minutes as well. The initial spam fest was short, but later, you returned to it a few times when the thread had moved on.

This universal Hally Town read is really REALLY bothering me. How is Hally green already? She can easily fake involvement for a day phase. This isn't new information. PLUS - she hasn't been THAT involved. Not enough that you guys are giving her a dark green read for, anyway? What am I missing? This isn't even to say I think Hally's scummy [though she's had some sketch] but what the heck, people?

 

For me, it is the light jabs she's throwing out that show she's reading the thread and looking for stuff to scumhunt with.  Sealing the deal is that I agree with what she's pointing out, and it doesn't feel like a stretch to me.  Early 'legit' scumhunting is a towntell for many people, Hallia included.  I was so bad at reading her for quite a while, and then the light bulb turned on and I've been pretty accurate with reads on her ever since.  I'm not clearing her or anything, or else I'd have her as blue.  But I am taking her off the table for any type of lynch discussion until she does something to place her there.  Same deal with Leelou - my greens are not getting lynched while I'm alive.

@Dice, what was different at that point between you and Hally was meta. I just played with both of you and I didn't see anything different in your D1 play to that point, but Hally was too quiet for D1.

 

@Leelou, yes I unvoted Hally easily enough, she came in with a decent amount of posts and they read pretty decently to me. 

 

@ AJ, RTE at that point hadn't posted anything that I read as scummy. You may have a different point of view, but that was my opinion.

The vote is ~probably good because it was early and game related. Mafia!RTE jokes about as long as possible (obvious caveat that we had a similar conversation in HP, so he's aware of that now). Ley said that RTE did it in their past few games, and pushed it most when mafia. I assumed that made it a neutral alignment thing, since I wouldn't say RTE pushed it hard this game and backed off pretty quickly.

I'm waiting to hear some answers as well.

 

Bold is worth noting. I understand the caveat too if it was a recent talk. Can't say I've ever really been good at reading RTE.

@BFG by normal I mean simply that. If someone seems like themselves, in my opinion it makes them less suspicious. Someone who is Mafia is a lot more likely to play differently to try and hide the fact that they're scum. It isn't foolproof, but at that point there wasn't much else to go on.

@BFG the first post you quoted I did not have any front running suspects, so I was content to wait until I did. I then explained why Zander became my number one priority and got my vote, so I'm not sure on what you are wanting clarification on.

I've also explained multiple times why RTE is a close second. I still feel comfortable lynching either one, and as I stated, Zander now seems unlikely, but RTE seemed likely. I'm now keeping my vote on Zander to make a point, and because I want him lynched anyway.

That's my entire thought process. And the fact that I *wasn't* derailing the thread with them and was QUITE CLEARLY just having a laugh at Verb's [kind of] expense is why I wondered how that would ever show up in a "scum case" on me.
