It was awful. Robert Jordan had written himself in as the Creator (kind of like Vonnegut in Breakfast of Champions, which is my favorite book, but in this series, no) and it was also completely set in modern times. Like, Rand and RJ were riding around in a white Ford pick up truck and Mat was drinking Red Bull and vodka.

Very random. Kinda creepy, actually. I'm not sure if I have ever had a dream about a book, and I usually fall asleep late while reading...

 

But if Mat were to be in our time doing something, I'm pretty sure you hit the nail on the head! And I'd add that he would be doing that at a casino in Vegas.
