Anyone here an old-school arena shooter gamer who remembers the glorious days of Unreal Tournament? Well good news, the alpha version of the latest *completely free to play* UT4 is out! Being made by Epic Games in conjunction with community modders, it is still a long way from release but there are already exhibition matches between pros up on Youtube (taking place at Epic Games HQ)

 

 

If you thought the previous Unreal's were fast, this one will blow you away :D so much more movement options such as multiple wall jumps, sliding, etc. Played it for a few hours, not all the maps are finalised but the few that are look glorious :) Oh the satisfying feeling of landing a shock combo while moving XD

What are the closest servers for you? Aussie servers have at least a CTF and DM running every night, if not more, so American/European servers should be going crazy :D

I don't know that I even picked a server last night, I just hit quick play to try out some DM.

How'd you find it? :) 

I basically grew up on UT, way back with that first one in '99 and I've played every new iteration since. This new one, even in its pre-alpha stage, is shaping up to be an excellent version of UT. Cool to see others playing.
