I wanna know.....where do the socks go?

Featured Replies

There is a little monster that lives in the back of all washing machines and tumble drier. Their diet consists 'solely' of socks. But because they are little they can only manage one at a time, so will never eat a pair.

See terry pratchett's hogfather for more info! :)

Some of them end up wrapped around the wringer in the bottom of the washer. Some get stuck up in the back of the dryer. Some will be found inside another garment some day. I believe most never make it into the wash and are under the bed.

Just buy everyone the exact same socks and you won't have to worry about the lost ones so much.

Ryrin, I think you have solved the socks Mystery *nods*

I go through so many pairs of socks that finding them in the morning is the most depressing part of my day

Mine are usually the ones that go missing. I figure it's because mine smell/taste better to whatever is eating them, than my boys' and husband's do . . .

Please tell me I'm not the only one who read the subject of this post to the melody of "What Does the Fox Say?" . . .

I was reading it to the tune of Uncle John's Band by the Grateful Dead.
