TEOTW - #99 in Books > Epic

Featured Replies

It's really interesting.

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #4,077 in Books

 #99 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic

The Wheel of Time, Boxed Set I:

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #5,840 in Books

 #142 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic

Can anybody explain this phenomenon?

Just a quick post (a member of our club is really into Amazon rankings)

Sales in th UK were good in last two weeks (especially tEotW)
Sales in the USA were terrific in this week:

The Wheel of Time, Boxed Set I, Books 1-3
#195 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic

The Wheel of Time, Boxed Set II, Books 4-6
#282 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic

The Wheel of Time, Box Set 3: Books 7-9
#410 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic

I think boxed sets are really important, because many people give up on the series after only reading/skimming Book 1 ("another Tolkien clone"), but reading the following books they can get a little peek into the 'real' WOT (ofc, they don't know that real WOT means boxed set II).
