Amazon.com selling different books?

Featured Replies

I recently went on amazon.com and i saw books like this:

To The Blight : Part Two of 'The Eye of the World', The Beginning of 'The Wheel of Time' (Wheel of Time (Starscape)) - Robert Jordan;

I was just wondering if these are real books by Robert Jordan that aren't exactly in the series or if its just something else all together? I don't want to order it if it has nothing to do with the series or anything

They are Book 1, The Eye of the World. I believe orginally (this was before I ever picked up the books) that Book 1 was released in two parts.

Actually the splitting of the eye of the world into two books was a new-ish thing. It was re-released as two books to make the book more young adult friendly. There a new prolouge for the second half, I think.

No kidding. Makes me feel older than I should. I didn't realize it was new. Being fairly new to the WoT myself (picked up the books around 2000) I thought they were before my time.

I guess since my EotW is falling apart maybe I should invest in the two part Book 1.

All my WOT books are in some stage of falling apart.

They seem to fall capart quite easily. As I have said before Tor should be spelled Tore.

I have first editions of books 1-7 in paperback, half of them now are just a stack of pages, and since I moved out of the US I cant easily replace them. (I think tor at a time offered to replace the books for free or something)

You can buy it if you want to pay the price of one whole book per part book.

Nah, no reason to buy another copy of it yet. I can fix my tattered book with some duct tape, some packing tape, some love and the one power...
