I wasn't really sure where to turn on this question, and hoping someone on this forum can help.  I picked up a copy of The Eye of the World in a Waldenbooks in Charleston, SC right after a Robert Jordan signing when the book first came out. 

 

It's been sitting on various shelves and in boxes for the last 25 years or so.  I did not actually read this copy at the time.  I read the series on Kindle only in the last 5 years.

 

Anyway, was wondering if this version is a collector's item at all, and if so, I would rather it not just be sitting under my nightstand.
