What in particular are you teaching? I went over to a friend's house and made three pairs of beaded earrings. I needed the colors, purple, teal, and black.

How did your class go?

The class is basically bead stringing and adding a clasp. We also made earrings. I had one student that was a bit attitudinal, but not towards me. Just towards the class itself. She didn't like the demo. Said it was ugly. She picked out different beads, then decided some of them were ugly. Sheesh!

 

It was fun and finished early. 

Sunday I went over to a friends and made three pairs of earrings. Purple, teal, and black. I also went on a 10 mile bike ride.

I'm taking intermittent FMLA leave so my weekend started after work today. There's stuff we have to do and stuff we want to do but mostly there will be rest.

Cindy, I've been on that for the last three years and will be on it till I retire. I hope you find it helpful.

It is so far. The hard part will always be going back to work.

I know. I use mine in increments of .5 hours. It;s helpful if I have a migraine or something worse. Yeah, then you need to drag yourself back to work.

In order to get sick leave at half pay I have to use it in whole day increments, which is fine because I really need more rest.

 

I'll take a bunch of time off this winter and go back to my normal routine in warmer weather. Maybe.

I won't know what a weekend is until after February. I get ONE Sunday off, next week. lol

I worked two jobs, Mills. It's hard.

 

We went to the movies, grabbed lunch and I went to the gym.

This past weeked was sad. We had to bury a close friend.

Tomorrow I am going to a Home and Garden show that will feature tiny houses.

my sister is on her way with the kids. cant wait to meet baby Nolan and see Bree again.

How exciting!

It was exciting. The kids were adorable and... so loud. The cats are traumatized. I am exhausted and happy I have cats, hope they're talking to me again soon :/.

Yay for visiting adorable kiddos. I am sure the cats will forgive. 

Yup, they already have. It was a lot of changes to their routine and... maybe the boy is afraid of children. And the children have a bomb proof cat at home so they didn't understand that regular cats are... cats.

 

Anyhoo, rest of the weekend is for rest, as it should be.

We really like to rest on the weekend too.

 

Today it's beautiful out and we are going to a home and garden show, with friends. Then out to dinner and Barnes and Noble. Sadly, tomorrow it will rain and we can't go on a bike ride.

I spent this afternoon at our local Equestrian practice. Our group is taking horses to Gulf Wars, so this will be the first time I've gotten to ride at war. Very excited! 

Also spent several hours of couch-time this weekend with the boys, catching up on the newest season of How to Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge. The dogs love it when we hold still on the couch in one place. It means they get snuggle time. 

I'd love to go to the Gulf Wars!!!

 

We had a great time at the Home and Garden show and purchased something SCA like which I will share soon.

 

When I got home I couldn't even get up the dogs were all over me. This morning I put the dogs outside and let the birds out.

 

Tomorrow, likely homebound except for grocery shopping. It's supposed to rain again. The doggies will love that. Birds too.

Oooh. I can't wait to see what you got at the Lawn and Garden show! 

 

I would love some rain. Tonight we've just got tornado watches. The rain seems to be mostly missing us entirely.
