Well that is why you can disagree with the idea of mob justice. For example, so far we have thrown 2 Town out the airlock. Mob Justice: the practise whereby a mob takes the law into their own hands in order to injure and kill a person accused of wrong doing. The mob acts as judge, jury and executioner. We would not weaponise the term here so I really dont think it's a problem. In the event of it ever being a problem, I think the DM staff would step in super quick and deal with it. They are very good. I'm not really sure that an actual game is the best place to have this discussion. You may be better starting a new discussion Thread.

I don't know if we'll be able to get rid of the term in the Game Mechanics, but I do try to not actually do that in my scenes. So in my last game they got arrested and in this game they go out the airlock. I have checked with Turin, who is American and so understands the history that would have led to that reddit discussion. He says he doesn't think it would be an issue as Lynch refers to any mob justice, and is not solely a term that relates to the social injustices in more recent history. So in the context of the game it is purely mob justice.

EMERGENCY MEETING! The crew is gathered in the meeting room. The tension is palpable as the emergency meeting alarm echoes through the halls of the ship. The airlock doors loom ominously in the background.] Red: (pacing, arms crossed) "I’m telling you, it has to be Maroon. He’s been acting shady all game — disappearing when the lights go off, pretending to fix wires in Electrical. Come on, we all saw it!" Orange: (nodding) "Yeah, and didn’t he conveniently find the body in Admin last round? Seems like a self-report to me." Lime: (hesitant) "I mean… he was near Electrical when the sabotage happened." Maroon: (calmly) "Seriously? That’s your evidence? I’ve been doing tasks the entire time. You guys are jumping at shadows." Yellow: (shaking their head) "Or maybe you’re just trying to throw off suspicion. Too calm. Too calculated." Maroon: (sighing) "You’re all making a mistake. I’m telling you, I’m not the Imposter." Red: (stepping forward) "Yeah? Prove it." [A long silence. Maroon looks at the others, scanning their faces. Then, without a word, he steps toward the emergency button.] Maroon: (softly) "If you’re so sure… I’ll save you the trouble." [He presses the button. The bright red emergency lights flood the room. The airlock doors slowly begin to open with a low mechanical hiss.] Orange: (wide-eyed) "Wait… Maroon—" Maroon: (looking back at them with a calm expression) "Good luck." [The floor beneath Maroon slides open. Maroon doesn't struggle. His body is pulled into the void of space as the airlock seals shut with a deafening clang. Silence falls over the room.] [A soft tone from the console.] SYSTEM: "MAROON WAS NOT THE IMPOSTER." [The room goes deathly still.] Lime: (whispering) "...Oh no."
