  1. Actually, it is very collaborative. It is a team game pitting the town against the mafia. You do your best to support your team. The complex bit is the town doesn't know who the mafia are while the mafia can't really make it obvious when they are trying to support their teammates. This is listed as a basic game so there shouldn't be many if any special roles. Advanced games can have lots of twists, special abilities and so forth.
  2. I think that's a different Loki. The name is somewhat familiar though.
  3. No Way!!! That is crazy talk. You trying to shade me? I am obviously the towniest, townie to ever town. I find your lack of faith disturbing... I really need to up my GIF game.
  4. Sign up #2 is ALWAYS MAFIA. Sorry Andy, you gotta go. VOTE ANDY
  5. Cheese is great. It makes nearly anything better. So many kinds and uses. Listen to me sounding like a Gray. *Stabs some cheese* That felt better. *eats the cheese*
  6. Well, it's colder than here, which is cold enough, so they need the cheese. Cheese on stuff is big in Canada too.
  7. First fact of mafia. I'm never mafia Second fact of mafia. If I'm not killed on Night 1, I'm probably mafia. Third fact of mafia. I have no idea what I'm doing. At least one of these is false. VOTE DICETOSSER for old times sake.
  8. With regards to Ishy to Morridin IIRC the Dark one kinda plucks their souls right when they die and shove them into a new body, so it isn't reincarnation like the rest of people experience, more like a necromancy or enchantment. Thus is all book stuff though so not sure how they might try to do it on show. I could it they just bring him as ishy still.
  9. In that situation it is also tactically sound to move together in order to protect each other, have ability to concentrate firepower (didn't happen) and gain distance from the other AS so you don't get bashed in the head with a staff. The walk was probably because they are just arrogant.
  10. Who's confirmed again? Ishy Lanfear Moggy Grendal Sammael Who's left? Aginor . Doubt it Be'lal .doubt it Balthamel? Doubt it. Asmodean .possible to likely Rahvin. Possible to likely Semirhage. Possible Messana. Doubt it Demandred. Possible If there are only 3 to go, then I am guessing Asmodean, Rahvin, and Demandred.
  11. @Wassup, I agree that the Aiel were not researched very much(or very well). I do mark that as a failure on the Aes Sedai part. You say they considered Manetheren to be the old blood so they needed to look into the even older cultures that still existed in the world. I'm not sure when the Karethon Cycle came about but i imagine they had hundreds of years to look into it, looking at you Browns. I think it would have been possible, even likely that some curious Brown disguises herself with some tinkers and goes into the waste to learn about the Aiel. Even if just for a search for knowledge. I may be off track here but I think with all the resources available to them they should have had a better picture of their world in general and things considered important like prophecy about the saviour/destroyer of the world. Good point about the 13th depository wall. I would lean ter'angreal or just rule of cool. Because it was cool looking.
  12. As to the Sitters, I'm wondering how long it had been since they did those tests. I've never seen where any Aes Sedai undergoes ongoing training or recertification. Skills diminish over time. I trained to do things when I was younger. I doubt that I would be able to do them now even if my life defended on it.
  13. I don't think we were discussing if it was wise to take all 3 ta'veren. It was if it should have been easy to decipher that the Dragon would be Aiel from the prophecy. The two lines in the prophecy were "from the ancient blood", and "born of a maiden wed to no man". Granted there seems to have been limited information gathering done on the Aiel (itself a failure of the tower) but through the breaking, the Aiel are one of few if not the only people that maintain the same location and structure and not intermingle much. Therefore they should have been a prime candidate for research. Doing that research would have quickly resulted in learning maidens of the spear are said to be wed to the spear and cannot wed without giving up the spear. The birth on dragonmount part didn't mean they had to be in combat, it could have been a random incident as fantasy book prophecy fulfillment frequently occurs that way.
  14. See what you've done here is make allowances for the characters actions abilities or lack thereof. The prophecy doesn't come right out and say the Dragon will be an Aiel. It isn't the most difficult riddle to solve with the whole "maiden wedded to no man", and "of the ancient blood" lines. That's kind of a different discussion though. The Aiel have lived in one of the harshest environments on the planet for millennia and have adapted to it. Egwene has lived in a rural river village where she was a inn keeper's daughter and lived a pretty privileged life. After her adventures and a month in the waste she has adapted to the conditions as well as people who lived there all their lives. I don't think so, but it is Egwene so it is just a demonstration of her greatness. "Fake news", that's the explanation for why it is okay? Or it didn't really even happen like that. No one knows foe sure so sure but it is still making allowance for something you find unbelievable.
  15. I don't mind if they "fast travel" to Tar Valon for the start of S3. Everyone has a reason to be with Rand. Tar Valon is on the way to the waste. Rand probably will want to see the girls safely to TarValon. I could see a bit of info dump in the tavern scene via dialogue. I expect Moraine will end up helping in the city fight against the BA. Possibly coming to Suian aid. One thing I very much would like to see out of that is the reactions of Tar Valon citizens/Tower guards to the Aiel. I think we may have some modern bias about Rand being able to be undetected in TV. They don't have television with his face plastered all over it(BREAKING NEWS-DRAGON PROCLAIMED IN FALME). In the show they don't even have the imagery of him battling the Dark One in the sky. Just a firey dragon on a tower with bunch of people standing on top. There are spies about looking for their general description but again, plot armour.
  16. Oh, I was thinking of when you borrowed a LP and recorded the whole thing onto a cassette. Most LPs had a few bits of filler. Even back in the "good old days".
  17. So she was only "mostly dead"? Sorry, I couldn't helps myself. Seriously tho, the ending of Book 1 would be.pretty impossible to convert to film, especially in a TV show. So I don't hate Rands season 1 finale. The Fal Dara thing though, oh my. I have just chalked it up to COVID messing things up. I had hoped to see Rand do some real sword training at some point but that does take screen time. I did love the "Indiana Jonesing" of Turak though. It was funny, effective, and showed his growth as a chaneller.
  18. I don't know. We will have to find some of the young people to answer I guess. One good thing about the digital music is you can skip thru the meh songs easier😃
  19. It wasn't so bad when they talked over the end as when they talked over the beginning. That was annoying. All hail the walkman(or non-branded version thereof)!!!! And AA batteries
  20. Don't forget the joy of recording songs off the radio.
  21. Yes. I was gonna mention her deeleebobs o' magicfulness. I assume you mean 1000 Aes Sedai couldn't attack because damane or Asha'man could just fine. Aes Sedai could as well they would just have to "believe" they were in mortal danger. Which one could argue is a slippery slope, but an entire different conversation.
  22. Is there any chance we get Morridin already?
  23. If I ain't playing mafia, I might as well "discuss" the show here. I think the BA not killing anyone while they were stunned was just because their priority was escape. I also don't think they were really out very long. Granted killing with the power should be quick and easy and they didn't exactly run out. I'm gonna go with...
  24. Now I'm sad missing my cassette collection. Not all of them made the conversion to CD. None of them and much of my CD collection did not make the move to the UK. At least some of it is still on my phone.
