  1. There. Now it's stacked up neatly. 😄
  2. BRRRRR, that moat is cold. Stupid unintended bond effects.
  3. Oh well. I'll try again later. *yeets Ithi in the moat*

  5. spam block Trying to remember how to post images. Goodness sakes.
  6. Eh, YOLO!!!! I don't think that's a thing anymore. I might have outed myself as old.😝
  7. But if Elgee is giving the prizes, Do we want them? 🤔
  8. Well, if there are prizes then should be open to professionals.
  9. Is this a professional spam thread or just Olympic/Amateur type thing?
  10. I have what may be a silly question but I want to make sure I don't accidentally offend. I noticed the choices for reactions to posts. Is there an accepted code for what each one means? Primarily in reference to the fire sword and bela icons. I looks like everyone just uses like so maybe I'm being dumb.
  11. We would also need to go back and find the rules. I don't remember much if any of it. Just that we built stats based on points earned and those made individual weaves more powerful. So much work 🤔
  12. Yeah. You're right about that. I was just spitballing with the idea of Couladin being more than Sevanna's big dumb puppet. Rand still needs to level up.
  13. Yes Egwene was the one who repelled the attack. So the Aes Sedai were so bad at warfare that they were overwhelmed in what was only supposed to be a raid by a force they knew existed and was hostile to them? I think your proving the point that the Aes Sedai were not skilled in combat nor strategically sound. It seems you think, or maybe want, them on par with the Asha'man in combat. They just weren't.
  14. The prevailing wisdom of the time, even amongst "the wise" is that The Dark One and all the Forsaken are locked away behind the seals and will remain so. The Aes Sedai don't even know the seals are a physical thing despite the fact that one of the titles for their leader is "watcher of the seals". So I would say that they are not aware of the actual threat level. For them it is a problem for a future generation, like global warming. I think you have bias because as a reader, YOU know what is going on. The people in the story do not. They are muddling through the best they can.
  15. Why? It could go something like this. Spoilered because I don't know exactly what is a spoiler. One of the things that has bothered me in the show is how bad Rand is using the one power at this point. In the books he has done some things by this time. Not all of it worked exactly as planned but he has done some things. In the show not so much other than "Indiana Jonesing " that Seanchan guy, Turak.
  16. The general population of Randland doesn't even believe that trollocs are real. Members of the Black Ajah never imagined that they would be called to battle in their lifetimes. No one other than those in the borderlands pays much attention to the blight or to trollocs raiding. It's a "them" problem. How many things happening far from your home are you really paying attention to? Are you ready to go battle the Russians today? I'm not. How many of these Aes Sedai do you think have been in a real fight to the death? I would wager none other than the Blacks, infighting being a thing. Even the Greens were woefully unprepared for battle when . So yeah, the Aes Sedai aren't the justice league.
  17. First, I'm not "people ". I never defended that scene. I think it was terrible but that is neither here nor there. The Sheinar lady was trained in the tower. Everyone in the tower is trained to do many things with the power including attacks. But how long ago, and how much ongoing training do they do? I was in the military, but it was decades ago. If while at work I was put into a situation that required me to use something I knew back then it would take me a while to perform the task and it would probably not be very well done. That is the average Aes Sedai. They primarily use the power for mundane tasks or little things that please them. Only the Reds, and Greens really train at all or use the skills needed in a fight. The Blacks also because they have a use for it. Actually, using something already there, like the power of a storm, is easier than creating and shaping air or fire from nothing. All she did was draw and concentrate the power already inherent in the storm and direct it in a general direction. That it was visual in a visual medium like TV makes sense as well. Would it have made more sense for this semi trained, under powered woman to be able to make hundreds of individual weaves to slice through the loads of trollocs attacking? I argue not.
  18. She had an immense amount of power (hers, Nyn, Eggy, the other two) and spent a long time setting up one massive lightning blast to wipe them out. But they were nearly upon them by the time it set off. It looked like the trollocs had run miles from the gap to the city. That was an eternity in a battle. You talk about Moraine, do we ever see her do anything quickly? In the first episode she does the lightning thing that takes forever. At Faltme the fire attack takes a long time. Aes Sedai in the show aren't very battle proficient. Now Lanfear, she is a problem. Snapping heads and casually flipping fireballs at a moments notice. Something else I just thought about, I think they show Moraine and Lan at the beginning because they will make an appearance in one of the battles. Perhaps saving Siuan.
  19. I disagree. 1. Meh, whatever it doesn't look like it was very long and seemed to just be part of setting the scene. 2. I think this is intended to be a mistake which helps to validate the 3. The Oath Rod needs to stay in the tower. Liandrin knows what she did. She knows she is guilty and trying to go along with the investigation will not work because if Nyn is there then most likely the other two wonder girls are as well. It would have been a disaster for the BA. The combined testimony of the 3 young stars of the tower probably backed by the Oath Rod. The fact that someone in authority signed them out of the tower. They couldn't risk a trial. They were forced to act. 4. No one carries weapons into the Hall. Not even belt knives. Pulling a hidden weapon takes time meaning surprise is unlikely. The BA got the jump on the others. Initiative is crucial. They were able to defend, do damage and escape. They would have been overwhelmed if the battle goes too long. A side note, there can't be too many Sitters killed as they are needed named characters going forward. The Reds being outside actually helped keep people alive by defending against the other 2 BA(I'm pretty sure Most of the people knocked about were not dead out there, just stunned).
  20. Reasonable, but I think she was just enraged by the affront of the Black existing and attacking her sisters. Sometimes you just wanna beat down a darkfriend.
  21. There are numerous other times that physical attacks have been effective against chanellers and turned the battle decisively. Not sure of the spoiler situation for some so not gonna give all the examples here.
  22. You are definitely busy busy. Thanks for the work you do helping people. We are doing okay. The weather has been rubbish this winter but we are doing well.
  23. Yes. The rollers would be required to recreate the one power fighting glory. Spamming and activity would be the first step. But it would be glorious.
