  1. In 2007 or 2008 after RJ passed away there was a theory manual on the internet. It was around 300 hundred pages and theorized 3-4 alternate endings. None of them were close to the real ending but they were also good. At the time those were the only endings we had for several years so they are like alternate endings for me. Nearly all the characters died in one or the other so i experienced all the deaths and victories before it was written 😄 If you feel some parts of the real ending is weak you can look for that manual. Some parts like sharans nakomi etc will not be there but there were some more depth endings to established stories like Padan Fain or seanchen (one of the theories highly expolered the continent actually). If you find the manual also get me a copy 😄 I can't find it anymore but maybe you have the luck of the dark one 😄
  2. Maybe i exaggerated with the number "90%" but i dont think everybody can read or write. What i said was there is no established education system. In real world this never worked and most of the people couldn't' read or write without an established system. Yes in WoT universe they are "more educated" than real world examples but its very fundamental reading writing and basic math. They dont even know what country they are from 😄 In the first book we met with inkeepers, ranked soldiers, village counciel members. Not the dirt poor farmers. After first book most of the side characters are lords ladies generals merchants etc... And our characters are actually important people in their small town. -Wisdom -Daughter of mayor -Son of a successful (probably rich) horse trader -Apprentice of only blacksmith in town -Son of an old soldier who is probably most educated person in town. All of the fathers or masters are in the counciel. So they are actually the most promising children in town and i think they get some special care for that. Yes but the reason is there is no press. In our world before pressing machines this was the case also. Books were very hard to come by. The supply wasn't enough for even the very small percentage of the population. Actually this is a great example. They are the most educated group after Aes Sedai. They are soldiers/fighters/warriors. Any kind of disciplined fighting force needs more education than just read and write. They get their education in their societies (an established system). So we are saying the same thing actually. Only difference is I dont count that as "educated". Even trollocs have some kind of writing. I dont consider Narg as educated (Narg is smart). No problem at all 😄 I love these kind of arguments. It is more fun with passion.
