S3E6 - The Shadow in the Night
Yeah, I think it's obvious to the casual reader that either Mats luck or Tar'vareen nature kicking in for the bracelet find / Thom. I'd prefer Tar'vareen though, I kinda like the idea that this barely explained phenomenon is used in a way that makes rewatches fun. For Sammy.. it was a bit dark for me but I thought he true powered buggered off? Could be wrong..

S3E6 - The Shadow in the Night
So i mostly enjoyed this episode.. mostly.. (Insert aliens meme). So yeah, mostly is how I'd describe this one. I feel i would have liked it more if there was more than 2 episodes left. Still there were a couple of instances that made me want to kick rocks. For starters, 2 untrained channelers healing Allannas mortal wounds? Even with show logic this is a bit much. No, I'm sorry but I do not like anything about this storyline. Everything about Allanna so far has been unnecessary to get to her healing Perrin. I can think of a couple of ways to get here without being silly. I'm mostly good with the rest of the episode: Tanchico was mostly fun: Thom! Min and Nyn were surprisingly fun. Liandrins story was very interesting, which I have some theories on. Moggys interview was awesome! Perrin and Faile was mostly good, though it did, at times feel a bit forced with their dialogue. The waste was also mostly good fun.. It was nice to see the "tear" attack.. but it still felt.. not quite enough. So yeah, I want to say i enjoyed it.. mostly.. but still 🥲

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
Alright.. @DaddyFinn asked a user a question and followed it up with a statement, this is a valid way of presenting an argument. Where the question and statement are part of said argument. You responded to the question alone, as if it was ludicrous and completely ignoring the argument presented. This annoyed me and I find it to be an underhanded and manipulative form of presenting an argument.. hence why I suggested its bordering on a strawmans argument as you extrapolated on the question and not the point of the users argument. I've noticed you do this in our own arguments and others. It's really not cool dude. I apologize for calling you a dick, it was a roundabout way to say it but nonetheless.. you're right. There is a better way to go about it and I'll try better in the future. I do stand by calling you biased and obstinant though. Funnily enough I do agree with some of your points, I just don't want to encourage you dude. Please be mindful as personalities like yours may prevent fans of the books / show from interacting with us and having meaningful conversations / discussions. Be cool dude!

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
Sorry dude, I wasn't insulting you directly, merely commenting on your biased obstinant arguments and how they may be viewed. To be clear, @DaddyFinn point was that they may have done things for a reason which was in response to @Sabio saying they're adding thing for no reason. And whilst you did answer a question in his post (that wasn't directed at you), you didn't acknowledge his point or even provide context on what you were responding to. Which looks like your arguing against the whole post, and like you're going on a tangent based on your opinions and feelings and not discussing the point someone was arguing. That could be construed as a strawmans argument, and that's not cool. But thank you for clearing that up, I didn't realise you were responding to the question and didn't care about the point he was making.

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
Dude! There's nothing wrong with having issues or not liking the show, but once again your not acknowledging or responding to someone's point. Quite frankly you're coming across as a bit of a dick. Reread what @DaddyFinn was responding to and his comment and explain how your response is valid in that context please.

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
Yeah that brought me out, I don't care if they have more time pass in the series as it's kinda crazy and 14 book series covers roughly 2 and a half years. It really doesn't feel like years though.

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
So I've realised my biggest gripe with this episode is the time constraints, and with 3 more episodes to tie off at least 3 storyline it's gunna be tough i guess. For an episode called TAR don't get much, though I did enjoy what we saw. Though with only a couple of sentences of "training" Eggy is remarkably adept.. Not much on Rand, got a bit excited for a story on mum and dad.. him being happy playing with kids is quite a contrast to where he's at in the books. On that note, him and Rhuarcs daughter growing fond of each other makes me think we'll get "that" scene minus Calandor? The trailer showed Avi with a fire spear and if irc.. Loved everything with the Seafolk scenes, surprisingly liked how they leant right into the interpretive dancing for windfinders and the channeling was cool. Elayne researching, Nyns seas stomach, poor Mat can't catch a break with where he sleeps. The characters are all working really well together. Liked Perrins scenes for the most part, and Faile has been fun. I wonder if he realises she's flirting with him? Probably not, Rand and Mat are better with woman 🙃 Looks like we're skipping the hunt sadly, I wonder who's going to heal Allanna? She gunna heal the ole fashioned way and pout that she doesn't get to fight? The tower plot feels out of place but Shohreh is doing an amazing job as usual.

S3E5 - Tel’aran’rhiod
Alright, I'm still very much enjoying the show but.. I'm back to having mixed feelings. Think I'll sleep on it before commenting further. Like, its still a fun episode but.. you know?

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Did a rewatch and it's still just a fun episode, some cool things i noticed.. The flicker coming in and out of the visions, it's kinda disappointing but still a nice touch. Really cool how they spoke more old tongue the further back they went, I'm glad they leant into it, helps give the feel of how much time has passed and how it's a completely different world. In the hobbit Rand vision they spoke with a similar accent as the tinkers. The orb is shown multiple times being in the tree, even way back when "rand" was given it he puts it, cradled in a chora plant. Also in that vision "rand" looks and we see a geysers of fire shooting to the sky, at the end we'll see them all over place in the distance. Nice to finally talk about the DO and his prison, think that's the first time the prison was mentioned. Natasha deserves some praise for Meiren Sedai, the difference in posture and her being kind and caring and excited resercher. Even though they were speaking the old tongue you can feel a touch of sadness at the end talking about staying close to your loved ones. All in all it was well done i think. Interestingly, when she talks about a power anyone can use she says something like "Tara-angrael". Now the bore, wasn't that exciting 🤗 - anyone else think it's looks like an eye? Not an eyeball like sauron but a whole eye.?

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
So what you're saying is we're gunna miss out on dozens of hours of food critiques, fashion shows and skirt straightening? (Sigh) I guess they could do that as spin offs, like a WoT cooking show..? And today's guest is Lanfear, i hear its going to be spicey 😉

Wheel of Time Season 3 - Full Season Discussion
Earlier i read someone suggesting Taim could be Demondred reborn, which could be an interesting direction.

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Pretty much, they're virtually word for word. I'd have to rewatch but I think they'll Rhuidian vision does the above extract you mentioned.

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Yeah, episode 2 i think.. Avi talking to Moraine and Eggy about prophesies (a remnant of a remnant) and Bair at the end (he shall come from the west). Also in the Rhuidean visions with the AS.

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
I saw an interview with Raff from the dusty wheel guy where Raff confirms..

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Rand is seeing visions of his Aiel ancestors, every step further back in time. It's a bit confusing in the books too, it can help to think of the events backward, going forward in time. Keep in mind this happens over roughly 3500 years. In that vein: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: There's a bit more to the books but that's the gist of it 😉

S3E3:Seeds of Shadow
You're glossing over my points dude.. But eh, let's assume they're following the books; there's currently civil unrest that turns into a riot.. Maybe you're onto something? How unhappy would you be if your arguments are what / part of what leads to the riots? P.s. can we move on from GoT please, sureley its been long enough? So because a fantasy series does something graphic, horrible or edgy its always compared and found to be derivative? GoT doesn't own that. Be honest, if GoT didn't exist you'd still have a problem with this scene.

S3E3:Seeds of Shadow
Wait, there aren't churches in this world are there, that's Liandrins family home right? Anywho if we're gunna nitpick and speculate on these issues i think it's just as likely as you're reasoning to suggest that in the slums of a dangerous city, maybe they did notice.. and maybe they only cared about taking advantage of the situation - e.g. Bobs more concerned about stealing their clientele and raiding their houses than what the witches have supposedly done.? Pulling from the books makes a bit more sense: I feel like they dont need all of these points for it to work, so maybe this is a WAFO situation yeah?

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
It was fantastic wasn't it, gripped me by his hairy bits the whole episode. To date no other episode gave me a sense of lost time like this, suddenly it's over and I'm thinking, wow that was an hour? Dang, if any episode deserved to be movie length.. blood and bloody ashes Amazon need to loosen the reigns and take a few steps back 😠

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Yep, I was pointing out when they return in the books (which is off screen) the lake is already formed. And in the teaser they're standing over Rhuidean and Moraine is wearing a different hat, an interesting hat 🤔

S3E3:Seeds of Shadow
Dude, I would have been at the wedding, lookin all dapper and sh*t 😎
-
S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
I can see why they didn't want Mat there, it's already got a lot going on and having a 3rd pov with something else out of this world could be a bit much, not to mention less time on Rand. He doesn't do much in the waste anywho, other than the Finns and complaining about being there. Regarding the Finns: I'm still going with my prediction from the trailer that Mat will go through a doorway in Tanchico and pop out in Rhuidean, in time for Rand to lead the Aiel back and find him hanging from the tree. Notice Moraines hat is different in the teaser as they're standing over Rhuidean, I'm thinking that's them coming back. Interestingly, Rhuidean is still foggy.. maybe a different fight will make Rand create the lake? Such a wetlander thing to do.

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Yeah I noticed that too. The whole series has been a bit like that, it's like they're can't afford extras.. don't they cost like a happy meal? ** insert meme - "can I offer you an egg in these trying times" **

S3E2:A Question of Crimson - Discussion
That's interesting, it's a fan wiki but I wonder where they got these specific sounding details.. maybe the anniversary book thing that came out a few years ago? Anywho, it clearly states that "normal" compulsion uses verbal commands. Which to me implies there is other versions of compulsion that doesn't. I am currently sternly pointing my finger and shaking my head at you for making me read something that doesn't prove you're point dude.

S3E4 - The Road to the Spear
Well that was super fun, best episode to date for me. Gunna need to get my thoughts straightened out but it's something like..

S3E2:A Question of Crimson - Discussion
Ok, you made me read the scene, which is worrying as can lead to a reread and i have other things to experience. I will be strong this time.. I was also responding to you questioning implanting memories. Why would he need to sort out the sitters straight away, he had plenty of time whilst thr drama unfolded and I doubt they would break the ceremony to demand who he is, especially after Suian and her keeper recognise him. At this point we don't know that he's been around for "years". No, Elayne specifically began her mom not to hurt him. Which as I said implies she is capable of what her advisers were suggesting.
