NASA reference in EOTW?
You should read the Origins of the Wheel of Time. It talks about all the influences, mythology, religion, world events etc... he researched and studied to come up with the Wheel of Time and the people in the Wheel of Time. How he came up with names and such.

How much "Free will" is there in the WOT?
Free Will was Jordan's main theme. Everything Mat does or doesn't do isn't carved in stone beforehand. It would make him a puppet. But being ta'vern he has less free will than others, the pattern will occasionally yank him back on path. Rand could've said forget this and refused to leave Two Rivers. It's also my understanding Min doesn't see like 10 years down the road. Seems like everything she sees is more of a near future sort of thing.

New user, came to vent.
I would say a good example was Stephen King successfully suing to prevent his name being used for the Lawnmower man movie, saying it bore no resemblance to the book.

Healing Limits
The Companion described the Yellow's healing, before Nynaeve's revelations, as just a form of rough-and-ready, battlefield first aid from the War of Shadow, The skill of the healer was more important over the strength of the healer. But under the healing section of the companion it goes to list 4 types of healing from full/everything healed (not even a scar remained, and the only way known to heal a wound from a Myrddraal's blade) It took considerable amount of energy from the one being healed. But also mentions some possible severe drawbacks which made its use rare on serious wounds. 2. Slow healing over time 3. Alleviation of pain 4. Washing away fatigue. We know Rand's mom died if the Fever, so illnesses and epidemics happen. There probably aren't many yellows skilled enough to do a full healing and the companion says the number of yellows prior to the last battle was 120 members. My guess is even if some of this stuff can be healed that the chances of a healer finding you is pretty small. If there is major outbreak they would probably go to help but overall you are probably screwed if you take ill. You would probably have to be delved to find any illness in the early stages and it would take too much time.

Healing Limits
The Big White Book said Yellow sisters are wholly devoted to healing sickness and injury as well as finding new cures and new methods of using the One Power to restore health, though in truth, few believe any better method exists than the one known since the breaking. I'm not sure if it's ever said what they are capable of but there is really no desire to find better ways. Part of the reason is the risk of experimenting with new weaves, so most Aes Sedai aren't willing to risk burning themselves out to find a better way. I know things such as growing a limb back isn't possible.

The Dark One's Real Agenda
I always took the alternate worlds thing to be a fail-safe device, if the DO wins in this world wouldn't it mean he lost on another world? It seems like the creator made things so all of creation everywhere wouldn't end.

The world of dreams (Spoiler warnings)
If you can get to another world through Tar the main issue would be few (except for some Aes Sedai) have any knowledge of these other worlds. The second is few had the ability/knowledge to enter Tar in the flesh. Dreamers would wake up where they went to sleep and didn't have the ability to physically visit other worlds. If they did seek themselves out in another world, they could really only find their dreams, and you wouldn't want to enter your own dream.

3,000 Years????
I always see it like the middle ages, society was improving then the black plague would hit and wipe out a quarter of the population. They start going again and Vikings or the Mongols show up and start smashing everything. As soon as everything looked good it would seem like something bad would happen.

Previous Dragons
Very few souls are destined for important roles every time, RJ said the forsaken are not destined to be forsaken every time, that would eliminate free will. The good and bad people will mostly be different., LTT, Ishy, hero of the horn are the exceptions. As for the turnings, the only thing that is guaranteed to be the same are certain events. Things such as at some time the world will forget the DO exists, a hole will be drilled, breaking. But what happens in each age and the length of each age varies.

Season 3 (and beyond) speculation and random thoughts
He killed whitecloaks in EOTW and The Dragon Reborn. The big difference is in the books he was innocent of Bornhald, but now he actually did it. Which to me is a huge change. Relying on Byar was a big plot point.

Previous Dragons
I forget if RJ ever said if Ishy sometimes is the dragon, but LTT's and Ishy's souls are linked so they will always oppose one another. The heores of the horn are rare souls who are always destined to play a part in things throughout history (though not every rebirth is a heroic life, Brigette once mentioned something about being a farmers wife or something and being miserable), LTT and Ishy souls will always eventually end up as the light and dark champions. It's also hard to say if they're from the same region since the land changed so much after the breaking.

Season 3 (and beyond) speculation and random thoughts
Most of Book 3 is pointless, it made interesting reading the pursuit for Rand but isn't needed in the series, Perin has had his whitecloak run in now (though I still think Having Perin actually kill the whitecloak instead of being accused is a huge change that totally changes his arc and actually makes him guilty now) and he freed the Aiel. IMO the only things needed from 3 is Samm in Illian, Aiel coming to Rand, and Rand taking the Stone of Tear. Interesting thought that maybe they will combine Samm now ruling Tear and fighting Rand there. Get rid of his other fight with Ishy and the confusing showdown with Samm later. But I still don't see how they will have time to do book 4 justice. Which worries me since that's my favorite book. They need to get Perin and the whitecloaks to the Two Rivers, Rands visit to Rhuidean etc. Coluadin story, traveling across the waste Rand capturing Asmo. I could see them getting rid of the Lanfear and Rand meeting, maybe make it the Moiraine vs Lanfear fight.

Season 3 (and beyond) speculation and random thoughts
It can't be too complicated since they only have 8 episodes to try and fit in book 3 and 4.

Your Honest Feelings About the End of the Series
Fain was never meant to be epic, RJ once said he was caught by surprise at how many readers liked and wanted more Fain. His early purpose was to push things along, get the characters where they needed to go (Such as in Book2 ) and then you noticed he vanished for long periods.

Season 3 (and beyond) speculation and random thoughts
Heck at 2 years between seasons it would still make 12 years just for 6 seasons,. They would either need to speed up the seasons or stop it after4 or 5 seasons.

The Dark One's Real Agenda
Without the DO everyone would be forced to good, the DO balances things by giving people a choice, as Rand saw, killing the DO would be just as bad as if the DO won. Since being good would be forced on everyone. RJ did say LTT and Ishys souls are linked, like brigette and her man. It's rare but the souls are linked. I don't remember if RJ said LTT will always be the good guy and Ishy the bad, or if sometimes Ishy is the Dragon.

Halima, Mat and attempted Compulsion
RJ has said a soul is either male or female and the ability to channel is tied to the soul. The sex of the soul doesn't change. LTT is always going to be male, Brigette always a female etc. I think adding intersex things is real world issue and not something RJ would add to the series. Simply because it would just needlessly complicate things. My guess is he would say someone being able to channel both halves would be impossible. The medallion stops weaves directly being channeled at him, not near him or indirectly. If I use the power to toss boulders into the air, there is nothing stopping one from landing on Mat. All it would take is a bolt landing right next to him. It's unlikely the lighting was being targeted directly at Mat, Rhavin felt the portal open, so he blasted the area, not Mat specifically. Also is it natural lighting that he made fall or lightning made from the power? But the fact it wasn't being directly targeted at Mat is the key.

I tried to convince a season 1 hater that The Wheel of Time TV show season 2 was worth giving another chance. Her thoughts were pretty interesting…
Not that it's a huge deal but Rand was 19 at the start of the series. But they hit on my biggest gripe of the series, a lot of wasted time on stuff, that add nothing or just repeats itself. If she thought season 1 episode 4 was bad then she needs to skip the last episode of season 2, what they did to the dagger was cringe worthy.

"The next Game of Thrones" is the problem
Since 3 has been allowed there is no reason to think it would be canceled. There is too big of gap between seasons, by the time a new season comes people have forgotten all about it. The big issue is with the forsaken now free how do you fit new characters, forsaken, the old characters in such limited time.

"The next Game of Thrones" is the problem
Sanderson admitted Jenkins was going too dark like Game of Thrones with the series. Apparently, the original Tinkers were much darker and BS had to explain they weren't supposed to be these dark people wandering around but, livelier and more colorful. I will always say the biggest issue with RJ and WOT was when RJ made the books, he wasn't envisioning a series being made. Which means a lot of the books don't translate well and are harder to convert into TV. Where Game of Thrones was made by someone with some TV experience and with a vision of it being made for TV. It's easier to adapt the books. Perin is a good example where a lot of what he says is actually inner dialogue which doesn't work well on TV.

Confused reader about Dark One being bound…
The Forsaken are just people who joined the DO, the Forsaken change every turning of the Wheel. How I always look at it is in the Age of Legends they accidently drilled a hole in his prison which allowed his influence to start seeping out. Slowly the hole was getting bigger and bigger, but it wasn't big enough to where the DO could actually get free. LTT did a temp patching job that trapped the Forsaken, but it was going to start to weaken again over the years. As the patch job weakened the Forsaken were finally freed.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
But WOT/Rings of Power/Fallout still have lore etc. I think fallout has done a good job of putting the lore of the video games in. It would have been easy for them to just ignore the games and have done their own thing entirely. I understand a book needs to be trimmed, but it just seems the difference in quality between WOT/Ring of Power compared to Fallout is pretty large.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
I'm curious on people's thoughts regarding Fallout. I have to say I'm enjoying a lot more than other Amazon shows such as WOT and the Ring of Power. Ring of Power is ok, but I find it disappointing considering its huge budget. Something with that large of a budget should have a better story. Is it simply because of the topic or is there something other series could learn from it? I know some issues WOT has to deal with is being based off books and Game of Thrones comparisons? GOT was made with the plan of putting it on TV where RJ never considered a WOT series when he started writing it. It just seems to me that everything with Fallout just seems better, the CGI, less wasted time, character development, etc Fallout to me just seems more professional and of a higher quality.

Eye of the World- A thought
in Rj's notes there were going to be more than one eye of the world and each one would have a seal there. The original job of the Aiel "sight blinders" was to find these eye of the worlds.
