Hi everyone! I'm Lily and in June I will have been on DM for 16 years. My sister (best friend in the whole world, and sister is an honorary title) told me about this place called DM and the shenanigans she got up to there. She convinced me to join, and I've never looked back. The funny thing is that, while I love DM, I'm not really crazy about the book series. I got stuck on Book 6, and just never picked it up again. I don't watch much TV, so the show doesn't interest me that much, either. (By the way, I never got up to shenanigans, like Minuet did. I'm the innocent little sister.) Heavy, please take your time and get to know all of us. I wish I had stayed a Novice and Accepted a little longer. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely happy with my Ajah choice. In other places, I would be Yellow, but here I am a full-fledged Green. I relate to most of the Ajahs on some level, and some more than others, but my home is with the Greens. I'm telling you all this because I see some of that in you, too. Leala, thank you for creating this thread. It's been awesome to read so far!

Cross is so modest. She didn't mention how excellent that book is! I love hot chocolate! I'll help myself to some rich chocolate with marshmallows. As you probably all know, I am in the process of moving. There have been some major hiccups in my receiving my money from the sale of my home. It is supposed to come no later than tomorrow. I have enough to get the truck and we will start loading it tomorrow regardless. Worse case scenerio, we end up getting a second truck, filling them both, and getting a motel for a day or two. I just hope there is NOT no room at the Inn. I never mind being like Jesus, but I don't want to spend Christmas like his first one! Humor gets me through. What can I say?

That's quite an update! I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitties. I lost a beloved dog very young and very suddenly, so I can empathize with you. Congrats on your elevation. Many years ago, I was in the SCA, and I know how hard it is to earn your Pelican. Your young kitties are just adorable! My plans for this holiday are moving. I close escrow on my current home today. Then we load the truck and move it on Saturday, maybe tomorrow.

I didn't notice Dolly there! I have two kitty co-workers, and one of them usually has my chair nice and warm when I'm ready to work. The other is Reba, btw. Dolly has the gray nose. When I rescued them, there names were Dua and Due. Those had to go!

Welcome to DM. I have to agree that cats are the best stress reliever there is. I wish mine were more cuddly.
