Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, Gris Grimly, Guillermo del Toro
The beloved classic that inspired the Academy Award-winning Netflix film from Guillermo del Toro.
"It took one look at Gris' design for me to be convinced that... this was 'the' Pinocchio."—Guillermo del Toro
This edition of Pinocchio features the full original text accompanied by beautiful sepia-toned illustrations in a pen-and-ink style. When the lonely woodcutter Geppetto carves a wooden boy and names him Pinocchio, his dream of having a son comes true as the puppet magically comes to life.
But the mischievous Pinocchio soon discovers that being bad is much more fun than being good, and his mean tricks lead him into a world of trouble. Only through learning the true meaning of being a real boy can Pinocchio hope to become more than just an enchanted puppet.
Carlo Collodi's timeless tale has entertained generations of readers for over a century. With its themes of adventure, morality, and the transformative power of love, this lavishly illustrated edition is the perfect way to introduce a new audience to the magic of this classic story. And that's no lie!
