The 4th Age Podcast – Episode 72 - Moiraine

This episode, we're talking about possibly the most missed character in the series: Moiraine Damodred. As Virginia says: "I want Moiraine back. I want Moiraine back. I want her back. I want Moiraine." This particular rant was inspired by the release of the new cover art for the US version of Towers of Midnight, featuring the Tower of Ghenjei, and what is hopefully the successful opening of the Tower and rescue of our favorite Blue Aes Sedai. We hope Moiraine is one of your favorite characters, t

The 4th Age Podcast – Episode 67 - Kramer/Reading interview

Jason Denzel, founder and owner of dragonmount.com and Bob Klutz of encyclopaedia-wot.org interview Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, the talented voices behind all of the Wheel of Time audiobooks to date. What they have to say is fascinating.   To quote Robert Jordan from AudiofileMagazine.com: "The spoken word is the basis for all storytelling," he told us from his 1797 home in the historic district of Charleston, South Carolina. "My father and my uncles were storytellers. When we went fishin

The 4th Age Podcast – Episode 65 - The Lost Episode

From the depths of a newly uncovered stasis box we came across this "lost" episode, which we affectionately refer to as "The Ta'veren Date Rape Episode". A bit racier than our usual, definitely PG-13, but not nearly as shocking as it sounds! No ta'veren were harmed in the making of this episode, nor were any of their dates, real or imaginary. Unless you quail at the mention of pillow friends, you'll be okay....and hopefully, gentle readers, you won't think it deserved to stay lost! Some have cal

The 4th Age Podcast – Episode 53 – The Gathering Storm Review

Virginia, Andrew G and Amir discuss Dragonmount founder and host Jason Denzel's recent review of The Gathering Storm. Jason was indeed blessed by the Light - Brandon and Harriet set him up with an official advance reading copy of the book! We forgot to ask him if it was in the form of a ter'angreal such as Elayne and Nynaeve found in Ebou Dar, but in any case we are all envious in the extreme, to the extent of plotting like a bunch of Forsaken as to how we might relieve him of such a burden. ;-)
