The Manetheren Medal & Luck of the DO Award Taymist is receiving the Manetheren Medal for assisting us in our usergroup changes. While many of you do not know about usergroups, these are what allow us as Senior Staff to place you in where you can see the appropriate boards for your specific position and regiment. As you have probably picked up, September's theme for music is covers. This is a new activity thread, so it may take a couple of days to get into shape properly. Basically, each day, Corki (or a member of the Band's Senior Staff) will pick a song and then post a video/link to the original version, as well as a cover version, and all you have to do is post which is your favourite song of the two - the original or the cover. After a day, the votes will be counted, and the winning version will gain a point for either "original" or "cover". At the end of the month, which side has the most votes wins, and it will determine whether DM prefers originals or covers. Addit…

McDonalds' Monopoly starts today, so millions of people, including myself, will once again fall prey to genius marketing and happily stuff ourselves full of saturated fat and additives... but it will all be worth it! In an hour or so I'll take my son and go for a mile walk to the nearest McDonalds. At least I'll walk off a few of the calories! (and no, he will not be partaking. I'm trying to find a pushpin map online for a Band project. I thought I found a great one that fit all my needs (http://www.pinmaps.net), but sadly there is a monthly fee to have more than 30 pins. I thought it would be fun to post some random facts about ourselves on here to get to know a little more bout each other. Can be totally random, serious, something major, something minor, anything you want! I'll start with a couple... I once dropped a motorcycle on my leg. I'm a fan of the the Green Bay Packers and the Miami Heat. The next vacation that I really, really, really want to go on is to the Galápagos Islands. I build my own computers. My son is going to be born in about 9 more weeks!

This award is presented to Matrim Hat-Rim for his hard work in completing our award graphics for the archers. He applied the finished touches to two ribbon designs for the Archer Brotherhoods, and then designed six more ribbons for the Archery Schools. Three cheers for Matty!!

These are not our esteemed warhorses they were horses ordered to train us Cav newbies. They are still good horses for the most part. But I do believe they may have gotten into Cindy's catnip.
